Shane Victorino Defeats Brewers
Baseball October 2nd. 2008, 9:18pm
– Victorino hit a grand slam in the 2nd off CC Sabathia and finished with three hits. He resembles a much smaller version of WWE wrestler Batista.
– The Phillies sent Sabathia to the showers in the 4th after five runs on six hits and four walks. Went to the well once too often with CC, the Brewers did — it was his fourth straight start on 3 days rest. He failed to eat his usual pregame meal of glass bottles of tartar sauce over squirrel meat.Â
– Brett Myers got through seven innings and gave up two runs. The TBS crew constantly reminded all of Myers high intensity level but in the end, he didn’t piledrive the Philly Phanatic.
– Philly is 6-0 at home against Milwaukee this year. That’s because Geno poisons the visiting team’s Philly Cheese buffet with anthrax-laced peppers.
– Shane Victorino doesn’t back either Mr. Biden or Mrs. Palin, by the way. He backs The Office. Wait, it’s not on tonight. Damnit.

Is it just me being a whiny bitter Twins fan, or have most of these playoff games so far this year been really effing boring?
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:28 pm
By most I mean all.
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:37 pm
Look at Imig up late writing jokes.
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:40 pm
Do we really need one of these for every single game?
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:43 pm
Yes the Office wasnt on but there was a 1 hour episode of My Name is Earl… wtf
Is it really that good of a show?
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:45 pm
this is soooooo not a debate.
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:51 pm
whew! USF was down 17-7 in the 3rd to pitt but just scored. 9 mins left in the 3rd. keep laughing about the Bulls running the table … the great thing is that there is no BE championship … if USF is unbeaten, and nobody else is, they will be in the title game.
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:54 pm
Come on USF…
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:01 pm
palin is funny.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:04 pm
That LaShon McCoy kid is pretty good.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:06 pm
Derek Lee with an error to load the bases for the Dodgers in the 2nd with one out and LA already on top 1-0. Big at-bat coming up here.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:11 pm
Cubs are Done-zo.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:12 pm
Wow, Murphy’s Law definitely in effect right now in Chicago.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:16 pm
This is insane. This club plays sound baseball all year, then they get to the playoffs and just continuously piss down their legs the entire postseason. They don’t even look like they belong in the Majors. Snap out of it and play some fuckin ball before half of chicago commits suicide
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:17 pm
I almost feel bad for Cubs fans. Almost.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:17 pm
i agree this is not a debate but CNN has men and women rating the whole thing on the bottom on their screen and Biden has been consistently in the + while Palin has been consistently even.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:23 pm
BB Smith – I also almost feel bad. But then I think about all the crap I’ve had to hear from them the past six months and I can’t quite pity them.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:27 pm
Could someone tell me where Sarah Palin is from? I haven’t heard yet tonight.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:32 pm
@Fetch
I believe she was born in Hawaii and spent some time in the Phillipines
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:44 pm
Thanks, sponge. I thought she was from Russia.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:50 pm
Really interesting. MSNBC and their mostly lib pundits say Palin was too gimmicky and scripted, while FOx News and their mostly conservative pundits said her performance tonight will change the complexion of the race.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:51 pm
here’s an idea. whenever the networks have to show a presidential debate or anything dealing with the elections, why don’t they just switch the show that’s not coming on into one of their lesser channels? wtf nbc? just show the office on bravo or something. and yes, i am bitter that there’s no office this week.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:53 pm
Where are your shirttails now, Brewers? I smell a sweep….
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:54 pm
Well, I think Lashon McCoy just took USF out of the national title chase.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:55 pm
Am I supposed to believe that would be a bad thing in the long run?

+1 riverfront.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:59 pm
Manny homers again. 6-0 Dodgers.
Joked yesterday about rioting in the streets of Chicago. That may not be a joke tonight.
October 2nd, 2008 at 11:02 pm
Finally a cause I can believe in
October 2nd, 2008 at 11:14 pm
steve bartman must be dusting off his goat saddle, ready to ride yet again.
October 2nd, 2008 at 11:17 pm
Wow. That was a really bad call by the 2nd base ump on the SAC bunt by Billingsley. Not really a big deal since the Dodgers are up 6, but that was a blatantly bad miss…

86% of Fox News voters think Palin won the debate. I don’t think 86% of people agree that the sun sets in the west.
October 2nd, 2008 at 11:38 pm
Dick Morris just flipped out at Colmes.. oh my god.
October 2nd, 2008 at 11:42 pm

Fox is a joke anyway. But seriously?
October 3rd, 2008 at 12:10 am
Best line of the day. This country is so split between parties it makes me sick. There is no way 86% of the country could agree on anything ley alonw who won a debate like we saw tonight.
October 3rd, 2008 at 12:11 am
That’s because Dick Morris is a douchebag of the highest (or is it lowest?) order.
October 3rd, 2008 at 12:16 am
Utah with a game winning fg opportunity..
October 3rd, 2008 at 12:18 am
So Utah has Wyoming, CSU, NMU, TCU, SDSU then host BYU. The doomsday scenario is setting up beautifully..

Kelly Stoufer himself is on Versus studio team.
October 3rd, 2008 at 12:24 am
USC to wonder how in the hell they lost to Oregon State. PSU drills them, Stanford beats them and now Utah gets them. How did USC lose to this team?
October 3rd, 2008 at 12:26 am
How did USC lose to this team?
Familiarity. The Beavers and the Trojans know each other really well. They don’t play with fear.
BTW, 10-1 Dodgers going to the bottom of the 9th. Mercy Rule Time!
October 3rd, 2008 at 12:27 am
poor Cubbies…at least they have the bears…I mean the blackhawks…I mean the bulls. Ah, Hell…they have nothing (except for a badass city).
October 3rd, 2008 at 12:39 am

October 3rd, 2008 at 12:48 am

October 3rd, 2008 at 12:52 am
@Fetch

October 3rd, 2008 at 12:59 am
Fetch that’s just uncalled for
October 3rd, 2008 at 1:01 am
Same amount of playoff wins though, Romo.
October 3rd, 2008 at 1:11 am
dave the stache saves his job for another year.
