Kansas Storms Back, Avoids Mangino Eatdown *
College Football October 4th. 2008, 4:01pm
Down 20-0 at halftime, the Jayhawks stormed back with 28 unanswered points in the first 21 minutes of the 2nd half. Todd Reesing finished with 320 yards and three touchdowns. Iowa State’s Austin Arnaud passed for 266 yards and three scores. He also tallied 44 yards on 17 carries. I’ve included a fat, square picture of Reesing in honor of his head coach.
Penn State finished off Purdue with a 20-6 win. Evan Royster rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown and caught four ball for 54 yards. Purdue kicker Chris Summers missed an extra point and two field goals. Florida and Oklahoma had convincing wins over Arkansas and Baylor, respectively, and West Virginia survived Rutgers 24-17.
* Yes; that was a snappy headline.

You forgot to add that Kerry Meier now leads the NCAA in receptions per game. As a backup quarterback.

KU won because the ISU QB threw the most ill-advised, ignorant interception that I have seen in some time. Casey Dick wouldn’t even have thrown that one
