Aside from Kansas, no other Top-25 team is in action until a decent hour. Those poor kids in Texas must have had to get up at like 8am to start drinking for the game. That’s just isn’t right.

The first quarter was a bit slow with Oklahoma taking a quick 7-0 lead. (Slow and quick? Who wrote that?) Texas drove right down and settled for a field goal on the ensuing possession. When the ‘Horns settled, I started to think the Sooners were going to commence the ass-kicking. Luckily, I know nothing about college football.

The second quarter lived up to the “shootout” billing as Texas outscored Oklahoma 17-14 to pull within 1 at the half.

Sam Bradford is 15-18 for 214 yards and 3 touchdowns in the first half. Texas’ Colt McCoy hasn’t been too shabby himself, going 15-19 for 171. Also getting involved for Texas was Jordan Shipley, who brought back a kickoff 96-yards for a score.

Oh, and if you’re in the Pittsburgh area and were looking forward to this game, you’re crazy! Why would you want to see two top-5 teams when you’ve got Rutgers-Cincinnati? Lucky bastards. (Rutgers leads 10-0 in the 3rd.)

In the other top-25 game, Kansas leads Colorado 9-7 in the second quarter in Lawrence.

Watch out for updates all afternoon! I’m going to use these one-liners like they’re going out of style!
