A headline you’ll love, in the Wall Street Journal, no less: Ohio State’s Loss Would be the Big 10’s Gain.

We couldn’t agree more. Though highly unscientific, we’re fairly certain college football fans are sick of two teams: USC and Ohio State. USC, though, is palatable because of the incredible athletes it recruits. The Buckeyes, even with Terrelle Pryor, are unwatchable. Too many dives into the line, too slow a pace, and not enough originality. Nobody likes a boring team that got fat on a weak schedule against a low-rent league.

If anyone can make a case for Ohio State hanging with Florida, Texas, or USC in the title game, please do. Just remember, the Buckeyes’ last win over an athletic team came in September of 2006 against Texas.
