The 49ers, Vernon Davis, and Mike Singletary
1-liner, NFL October 27th. 2008, 12:00pmVernon Davis: The 49ers have known this athletic freak is a punk for a long time. (What’s the deal with crazy Maryland football players? Merriman, anyone?) Remember when Davis fought at teammate, and kicked him when he was down? We can’t find video of his foolish slap of a Seahawks player from Sunday’s game that drew a 15-yard flag and then the anger of new coach Mike Singletary, but it is the height of stupidity, especially when trailing late in the game. Blame the ownership. Bill Walsh must be rolling over in his grave. (Mercury News) [EDIT: OMG. Hot Clicks has found one of the worst sideline reporter gaffes in recent history. It involves Mr. Walsh. Poor girl.]

Singletary’s press conference was awesome. As I said in another comment earlier: I kept waiting for him to put on shades and talk about how he’s Samaurai Mike and he stops them cold.

You’d be insane as well if you had to attend the same alumni functions with Norman Chad.

Davis really is a freak too bad he’s a douche. Anyone notice he was the only 9er who pursued the pick six? he even caught up to the DB, unfortunately it was at the goaline.

that video may be the end of sideline reporters unless they pass a written test for football knowledge.
lisa gurerro is laughing somewhere that is so bad. and the producer ought to be canned if he indeed fed that to her.

Maybe he did talk to Walsh from beyond the grave. Just because we can’t doesn’t mean he can’t. I mean, he did play for the ‘85 Bears.

It absolutely kills me we keep turning out crazies. I don’t even mention to anybody that Merriman is from UMD, by the way. Whatta douche. I hope Vernon can get his act together.
On a related note, look out for Darius Heyward-Bey, he’ll be lighting up the NFL within 5 years. Count it.
