NFL November 2nd. 2008, 3:51pmIf the first half is any indication, Week 9 is ripe for some upsets. The Chiefs are on top of the Bucs, 24-13. Kansas City has forced two turnovers and Tyler Thigpen has completed 9 of 17 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown. He also hauled in a 37 yard score from Mark Bradley. Amazingly, the Chiefs have racked up 98 yards on the ground.
In Chicago, Dan Orlovsky is 14/18 for 140 yards with two touchdowns. Calvin Johnson has 70 yards and a touchdown. Detroit outscored the Bears 23-3 in the 2nd quarter. Pat Sims and Antwan Odom have a free pass to Garrard all day. The left side of the Jax o-line is brutal.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:07 pm
Hehe. Thanks refs!
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:07 pm
FIGHT! John Henderson and Andrew Whitworth.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:09 pm
So close Megatron. So close.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:09 pm
Henderson was raking the eyes, Whitworth threw punches. Whitworth wins.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:14 pm
44 yd pass to driver on 3rd and 6.. straight cash homie
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:19 pm
the titans are totally due for a TO. no picks or fumbles yet. could use one here …
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:21 pm
Damn, Lions moving the ball at will.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:22 pm
Dan Orlovsky is 14/18 for 140 yards with two touchdowns.
Looks like Daunte Culpepper arrived just in time.
So what’s this? Six commercial breaks in a row in the GB/TEN game with a “SAVED BY ZERO” spot?
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:23 pm
Oh my, Craig Steltz!
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:24 pm
how the hell did jax just score?
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:25 pm
10 points in about 7 seconds for the Jags. 21-13. Holt fumbled the kickoff, jags returned it for a TD.
About an 80% chance the Bengals blow this.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:26 pm
Riverfront—-what the fuck is going on. since the skirmish all hell has broken loose. Also, that ‘fight’ should still have resulted in a first down for us
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:27 pm
Yeah, I’m trying to figure out how 2 penalties on Jax equals one on Cincy.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:28 pm
plus it was a first down on the play
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:28 pm
kris jenkins is having another good game. brutal sack of Edwards just a second ago.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:29 pm
There we go. Ball near midfield. A TD this drive puts the game away.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:30 pm
fucking rex just gave it back.
and rodgers gets sacked on 3rd. dammit.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:30 pm
costly rd zone pick by Garcia.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:32 pm
Raise your hands. Who had Baltimore/Cleveland as the high-score game of the week?
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:33 pm
favre being favre
ill-advised pick 6 (though he took a shot as he was releasing)
here come the Bills
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:34 pm
Hot damn I’m now ok with benching Ocho Cinco for Derrick Mason. Too bad I couldn’t have benched Greg Jennings instead, but c’est la vie.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:34 pm
damn, right after that int of garcia, the chiefs fumbled?
nice HB option TD pass, and we’ve got a game in KC: 24-19 chiefs clinging to the lead
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:36 pm
Gonna be quite a few wild finishes today, I have a feeling. After last night’s UT-Tech game though, it’s all gravy.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:37 pm
Man, the sex cannon is one inaccurate yogurt slinger.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:38 pm
great play by the Pack! Rodgers to Driver for 30!
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:39 pm
Come on Pack!
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:39 pm
Are the Titans forgetting that Driver is on the field?
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:39 pm
The Bengals have been abusing Garrard all day. I’m not used to that.
Big drive here. Up 8, Bengals need points to put the game away.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:40 pm
gotta give some props to B’more, which refuses to die and is being led by a rookie QB (Flacco playing awesome) and a rookie RB (Rice about to go over 100)
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:40 pm
Braylon having a great day… WAIT… until he drops a bomb that landed right in his hands for another touchdown. Fucking worthless Michigan bum.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:41 pm
mason crosby from 38 for the tie
good
16-16, 530 left
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:41 pm
Come on Orlovsky, the Tron could’ve put the game away there.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:41 pm
Somebody was complaining earlier about starting Derrick Mason over Ocho Cinco.
Right now: Mason 9-136-1
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:41 pm
crosby ties at 16 on a 38 yd FG..
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:42 pm
Braylon having a great day… WAIT… until he drops a bomb that landed right in his hands for another touchdown. Fucking worthless Michigan bum.
I guess he needs another 5 hour energy drink.
Question: Why do he and Brady Quinn have ANY national endorsements? one is overrated, and the other has never even played.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:43 pm
awesome run by TJ … more clock killing, 6 mins and counting. a FG puts them up 9 and ends the game.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:43 pm
Question: Why do he and Brady Quinn have ANY national endorsements? one is overrated, and the other has never even played.
Why was the entire 2007 draft about Brady Quinn when JaMarcus Russell went #1?
And it was all about Brady Quinn before he fell like a rock.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:44 pm
FUUUUUUUUUUUCK. Fitz overthrew a wide open Cinco. Could have walked into the endzone.
Jags ball down 8, 6 minutes left.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:44 pm
whoops, that was about the Jets
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:44 pm
jpq
- I have no idea why Braylon or LT have national endorsements that involve them talking to the camera. It’s a trainwreck when they do.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:44 pm
yay, Andre Johnson scored!
Boo! Andre Johnson score
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:44 pm
Bills forgot how to tackle. looks like the Giants Super Bowl game all over again.
/a loooong history of being disappointed
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:46 pm
titans another 3 and out … pack get the ball back with 4:32.
collins has been TERRIBLE. he just can’t pass downfield. and the pack have been all over the run and those screen passes.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:47 pm
I have no idea why Braylon or LT have national endorsements that involve them talking to the camera. It’s a trainwreck when they do.
I know, a lot of these guys cannot speak. The worst, to me, is Warren Sapp. I watch him on NFL Network or Inside the NFL and they should caption anything he says like it’s a Fellini film. He talks for 1 minute and I catch about four words through the mumbles.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:48 pm
jpq – did you just relate Warren Sapp to a Fellini film? Nice work!
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:48 pm
jennings, you GOTTA haul that in
i thought he had it
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:49 pm
Jags inside the 10.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:49 pm
Damn, the Lions got really jobbed on that horsecollar tackle. Refs didnt call it at first, then listened to the crowd, then watched it on the jumbotron, then threw a flag. horrendous.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:49 pm
oh, that was a penalty, DB had both hands on him just before the ball got here.
rodgers to driver! first down!!!!!!!!!!
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:49 pm
Driver! Come on Pack…
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:50 pm
Here’s a clue. They’re throwing the ball to DONALD FUCKING DRIVER.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:50 pm
Nice spike, Grossman. You’re still terrible.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:51 pm
Okay. Driver looks like Crabtree in the 2nd half here. So now they’re gonna stop throwing to him?
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:51 pm
shit. if you’re the pack, do you go here? or just put and pin them?
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:52 pm
Me to jay Feeley right now:
Miss it Noonan!
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:52 pm
houston needs to go 90 yards in 157 to send the game to OT
jets hit a FG and that’s your game. 26-17 with 2:12 left.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:53 pm
shit
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:53 pm
gotta punt.. if you go and miss, the titans need essentially 15 yds for a FG.. too risky
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:53 pm
TD MJD … and now for two and the tie …
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:54 pm
Jags score, two point conversion NO GOOD!
21-19. Gotta get the onsides and get a first down to end it.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:54 pm
good call, cortes. was the only call, really. thing is, bironas has a huge leg, and they really only like like 60 yards here to get in his range.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:55 pm
So much for Houston…
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:57 pm
unreal.. kerry collins is leading them down the field for the 1st time all game
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:58 pm
I still say Brad Childress needs to get fired, but he actually coached a pretty good game today.
November 2nd, 2008 at 4:59 pm
oh fuck
3rd and 2 big pass for the titans, now at the GB 40. that’s only a 47-yarder. and Tenn still has 2 TOs left.
a valiant effort, Pack. JUST DONT GIVE UP A TD AND BLOW MY COVER!!
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:00 pm
I can’t believe this shit. The Titans live on. Dammit.
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:00 pm
are the jags still alive?
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:00 pm
47 yd FG attempt for bironas to win the game… ugh
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:01 pm
God I cant believe this will be their first win. 1-8 feels so much better than it should
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:02 pm
TBL —————-NO
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:02 pm
that revis on the jets is a stud. nice end zone pick there.
the formula to beat the Titans is out there – clog the run, watch for screens, and let collins try and beat you. he had a nice final drive, that’s all.
secondary got torched by Rodgers
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:02 pm
NO GOOD!!!!!
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:02 pm
NO GOOD!
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:02 pm
NO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
bironas missed!!!!!
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:02 pm
YES! YES! YES!
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:03 pm
Wooooo! 1-8.
Feels good.
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:04 pm
And of course they win the toss. Since when did God start rooting for the Titans?
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:09 pm
oof, Titans are shredding the Pack defense.
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:11 pm
WHAT THE FUCK??!!! NFL rule pulling the pack/Titans game off?
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:11 pm
Anderson throws a pick six and Browns fans start the “Brady” chant.
Lollerskates.
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:12 pm
41 yd attempt for the game… come on you fuck head miss it
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:12 pm
Shit. Someone tell me if he makes it.
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:13 pm
brutal, brutal loss for Cleveland.
and thanks, Fox, for pulling me away from the titans finish to watch the local game. dammit
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:13 pm
bucs tie it with 19 seconds left! got hte 2-pointer, also !!!!
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:13 pm
Titans at 8-0. That’s weird.
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:13 pm
41 yd attempt is good, game
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:14 pm
God I hate the Titans. I hope they go 18-0 and lose, too.
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:14 pm
Bironas makes it, and the Titans are 8-0
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:14 pm
Can’t believe the Bucs tied it. If they don’t win the toss they’ll lose though. The defense has been terrible.
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:15 pm
Long – Titans road wins include Cincy, KC, and Balt. who wants to get the combined record of those jokers?
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:16 pm
Ain’t lying TBL. That game was completely Cleveland’s to win. The defense managed to fall apart letting Ray Rice (Ray Rice?) and a stiff rookie QB beat them. Then, the offense, which looked lights out, goes 3 and out 4 straight times. Add in 2 more drops by 17 (douchebag)…
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:17 pm
Ravens are 5-3. They are terrible too…
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:17 pm
Baltimore is a decent team. The others…not so much.
Boo birds and Brady chants reign in Cleveland.
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:17 pm
Bucs get the ball first in OT.
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:17 pm
will anyone else be going into Circuit city this week in hopes of getting a steal?
i could use a flat screen for 50% off!
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:19 pm
I complained about D Mason instead of Ocho, then recanted and wished I’d benched Jennings instead.
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:20 pm
wow, Koren Robinson just went 90 yards for a TD and the Seahawks lead te eagles 7-0
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:22 pm
TBL
-Have they set what kind of price slashes they’re going to be putting into effect? Any list of the CC’s that are closing? I could also use a flat screen at half off.
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:24 pm
I hope they’ll be selling Blu-ray movies for peanuts. I’ve been wanting to upgrade to a 60 inch TV, so maybe this is the kick in the pants I need.
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:25 pm
Matt Bryant setting up for a 39 yard FG
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:25 pm
Yes, I started Boss late. GO me!
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:27 pm
He missed it, but there was a false start before the snap. Now it’ll be from 44 yards.
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:27 pm
Nevermind, it was 3rd down so the offense is back on the field.
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:29 pm
Have they set what kind of price slashes they’re going to be putting into effect? Any list of the CC’s that are closing? I could also use a flat screen at half off.
Glad I just bought a 52″ Sony from Best Buy…not
(Actually, sorta am, as long as they stay in business-lol)
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:30 pm
34 yard field goal good, Bucs win!
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:32 pm
34 yard field goal good, Bucs win!
Anyone tell Herm “THEY PLAY TO WIN THE GAME….HELLO??’
If ESPN plays that clip again this week, I’m breaking the TV
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:39 pm
miami 13-0! sweet. oh, wait, 13-7. natch, i cut eddie royal this week. foolish.
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:42 pm
nothing yet. that link said at 8 am tomorrow there would be an announcement. problem is, you’d need the store to close in your market to really take advantage of this.
and while im hopeful … do you really think there will be flatscreens 50% off? if so, i’d probably drive up to 2 hrs to get one.
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:42 pm
Giants TD, pick johnson, and about to go up 14-0. gulp. this could get ugly.
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:44 pm
TBL
- I think they only put flatscreens that cheap during those “unannounced sales” before Thanksgiving and whatnot.
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:50 pm
Giants TD, pick johnson, and about to go up 14-0. gulp. this could get ugly.
TBL: Not that I’m a “G-Men” fan, but I think they might go “Urban Meyer” on the Cowgirls today, just for fun
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:59 pm
jpq – wouldn’t doubt it for a second.
