Milwaukee 94, New York 86: The defensive-minded Bucks – playing for Skiles will do that to you – held the Knicks to 37 percent shooting and six players scored in double figures in the road win. Still no sign of Eddy Curry for NY, and Jamal Crawford shot 0-for-6

Oklahoma City 88, Minnesota 85: The Thunder’s first win of the season was mostly thanks to clutch rookie Russell Westbrook, whose defensive play sparked OKC in the second half. The other UCLA rookie, Minny’s Kevin Love, had four points and four boards in 17 minutes.

What you may have missed this weekend:

* There are seven remaining unbeatens – Toronto, Detroit and Atlanta in the East (the Hawks staged a massive rally to beat the 76ers Saturday); and Houston, New Orleans, Utah and the Lakers in the West.

* Indiana smoked Boston, 95-79. The Celtics shot 34 percent and turned it over 24 times. It surprised Indy fans.

* Rookie Derrick Rose took 20 shots and scored 26 points in a win over Memphis, a game in which he looked light years ahead of Mike Conley, the No. 4 overall pick in 2007. Hinrich and Gordon combined to take only 23 shots, and raise your hand if you think the vets aren’t going to be pissed with Rose if that keeps up.

* It appears as if Marcus Williams, the former Connecticut PG whom we’ve always liked, is the No. 3 PG in Golden State, and that’s not including injured Monta Ellis.

* Another young kid to watch in Portland: Rookie Nicholas Batum from France, who turns 20 next month, scored 12 points in a Friday victory over the Spurs. Yes, the Blazers survived the Spurs without Oden.
