Nets 103, Pistons 96: Hmm, well Iverson’s debut was pretty good. He ended up with 24 points on just 12 shot attempts and also dished out 6 assists. The Nets looked absolutely putrid in the first half but Devin Harris eventually came to life, scoring 19 points in the third quarter and finishing with a career high 38. Losing in Jersey is just not the way you want to begin any kind of “new era”.

Cavs 111, Pacers 107: Everyone’s favorite future Knick/Net did it all, scoring 27 points and grabbing 9 rebounds to go along with 8 assists and a key block on T.J. Ford with 40 seconds left in regulation. Stop it, you know who I’m talking about.

Knicks 114, Wizards 108: The Knicks are 3-2. That may sound insignificant, but that’s big stuff in Manhattan these days. Jamal Crawford dropped 23 and Zach Randolph did what he should be doing every night, finishing with 22 points and 13 boards. Oh, and Marbury might buy the Knicks one day.

Heat 99, Spurs 83: Screw the stats. Tony Parker is out at least 2-4 weeks after leaving towards the end of the first quarter with an ankle sprain. The Spurs are off to their worst start since ‘95, which was pre-Duncan. And with Ginobili already out, that leaves Timmy standing around looking a bit lost, but that’s nothing new. I guess I should mention Wade fell one assist shy of a triple-double, going for 33, 10 and 9.

Hawks 110, Raptors 92: The Rays win the AL East and now the Hawks are 4-0, off to their best start since 1997. I’m running out of pathetic franchises to make fun of. Actually, that’s not true, but it’s tough losing the staples. Nice contributions from the Hawks across the board with Bibby, Johnson, Marvin Williams, Flip Murray and Maurice Evans all in double figures.

*And congratulations to Jerry Sloan who won his 1,000th game as head coach of the Jazz. Love that dude.
