F Life, F the Jets. They’re Losing in Overtime Kidding! Jets Win in OT, Jay Feely Rules! 34-31
NFL November 13th. 2008, 11:32pm
Debacle is too kind a word. Giving up the game-tying TD with one second left is about as gut-wrenching as it gets. The Jets did win the coin toss in OT, but we have zero faith in them now. We’re talking about the Jets.
Man, its going to hurt tomorrow to see Matt Cassel and 400 yards in the sentence. Hell, we just threw up a little bit in our mouth typing that.
The reverse jinx worked!!! Favre completed a crucial 3rd and 15 to rookie Dustin Keller on the third play of overtime and the Jets proceeded to steamroll downfield in overtime, culminating with Jay Feely’s 34-yard-field goal. The first-place NY Jets. Sounds strange, huh?
Favre in an interview just now: “Randy Moss told me to throw a pick after the coin toss in overtime.”

November 13th, 2008 at 11:38 pm
Calling a Jay Feely missed FG right now.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:38 pm
feely ain’t making another 50 yarder. jets still need a good 30 yards before they can start thinking FG.
but this 3rd and one will be the top priority
November 13th, 2008 at 11:38 pm
He’s just havin so much fun out there!
November 13th, 2008 at 11:39 pm

November 13th, 2008 at 11:39 pm
was i the one who said something about winslow and the jets a few weeks back? take it alllllll back.
still 20 yards away from FG range, though
November 13th, 2008 at 11:40 pm
Can we at least get Gus Johnson on the call if they setup for a FG?
November 13th, 2008 at 11:40 pm
They might as well not even bother with the running game
November 13th, 2008 at 11:40 pm
favre to coles for 15!!!!!!

November 13th, 2008 at 11:40 pm
Deltha O’Neal was all screwed up there.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:41 pm
leon wash for 5 to the 20 …. two more runs to get in the middle of the field … and then feely can let jets fans dwn
November 13th, 2008 at 11:41 pm
Either way, the Jets are frauds right? Right.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:41 pm
do the Jets have to do that first down point after every first down? Give it a rest
November 13th, 2008 at 11:41 pm
John Madden just had an orgasm.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:41 pm
Hoping for Mangini and Belichick to do the Bushwacker’s dance when they meet at midfield.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:42 pm
jones to the 18. do they kick the FG now? on 3rd down? both announcers think so. mangini seems to be passing …
November 13th, 2008 at 11:42 pm
jones for 2 and here comes feely …
November 13th, 2008 at 11:43 pm
Ball is at the 16. If they miss this…
November 13th, 2008 at 11:43 pm
My favorite bushwacker was luke
November 13th, 2008 at 11:43 pm
they’re calling it 33 yards … come on jay …
November 13th, 2008 at 11:43 pm
Jay Feeley is doing the same jump as the Fox NFL robot, not a good sign.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:43 pm
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

November 13th, 2008 at 11:44 pm
Damn I didn’t realize how fat Mangini is
November 13th, 2008 at 11:44 pm
They were great, Luke should definitely be coaching somewhere.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:46 pm
He’s seriously starting to remind me of Fat Homer.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:46 pm
Brett wanted to say, “how the fuck do I know what it means for this franchise? I’ve been here 12 weeks.”
November 13th, 2008 at 11:46 pm
He doesn’t coach the Eagles?
November 13th, 2008 at 11:47 pm
Thank God
Thank you God
November 13th, 2008 at 11:47 pm
Way to almost choke it away to an injury riddled Pats team…well done Jets..I can smell the Super Bowl now.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:47 pm
FIRST PLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE
November 13th, 2008 at 11:47 pm
I just did a fist pump after I checked my fantasy football leagues and confirmed I wasn’t playing anyone who owns Cassel.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:48 pm
He definitely has the waddle down to a T. Looks real good in those shiny green pants too. Holy God.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:48 pm
that favre interivew was great.
“Randy Moss told me to throw a pick after the coin toss in overtime.”
all NY super bowl????? ha, kidding
November 13th, 2008 at 11:48 pm
Seriously, Favre is going to get way too much credit if the Jets win the division. Tom Brady is the Jets MVP.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:49 pm
TBL-you have to admit this feels great, although the NFL network never said “first place New York Jets”
November 13th, 2008 at 11:49 pm
Totally. What a dumb question.
I thought both of them coached Kansas.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:49 pm
thx, bud! Favre was splendid. i think he only missed like 8 passes. 250+ yards, no picks, Two TDs.
gosh, if they didnt have that oakland loss, they could seriously be thinking about that No. 2 seed.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:50 pm
So the Jets get NO credit for winning games because Brady is out? understood. They should just not count this season ebcause Brady is out.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:50 pm
Agreed. I’ll send the paperwork to your office tomorrow.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:51 pm
At least Collinsworth forced Cassell into the conversation there after the Favre interview.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:51 pm
the sports editor of the NY Post just got a chub goin
November 13th, 2008 at 11:52 pm
belichick trying to walk away from the presser after like 5 questions. “is that it?”
November 13th, 2008 at 11:53 pm
hef, are you a cards fan, or a NY giants fan?
November 13th, 2008 at 11:53 pm
He does that when he wins too.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:53 pm
I really can’t imagine Brady doing much better than 400 yards, 3 touchdowns, 0 picks and 60+ on the ground
November 13th, 2008 at 11:53 pm
This shit pisses me off. Like in ‘94 when Jordan first retired and the Knicks played in the finals, everyone kept saying “They couldn’t do it when Jordan played!#(!*#” Well, where the fuck were the other teams? They’re capitalizing when it counts. Just shut the fuck up, the Jets won, I’m allowed a moment once in a life.
/didn’t mean to get all Maggs on everyone
November 13th, 2008 at 11:53 pm
Two of the last three games the pats have outplayed their opponents and lost. This is depressing only cause Cassel is showing some good progress.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:53 pm
I am a Patriots fan. The Hefs are from Boston.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:54 pm
ps – cochery’s one-handed grab was absolutely sick. NFL catch of the year, no doubt. caught that shit on his helmet.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:54 pm
Speaking of… back cover headlines tomorrow, Post & Daily News?
Favre-fetched Win
Jets Feeley-ng Good!
November 13th, 2008 at 11:55 pm
And Mayo and other rookie LB are already better than both Vrabel and Bruschi.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:55 pm
no wonder we have so much friction. born in NY, here.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:55 pm
@Sports hernia-

November 13th, 2008 at 11:56 pm
New Yorker here, from LI and the Bronx
November 13th, 2008 at 11:56 pm
let’s keep it simple: JETS GET LUCKY AS SHIT, BEAT PATS DESPITE GIVING UP 400 YARDS PASSING TO MATT FUCKING CASSEL
November 13th, 2008 at 11:56 pm
his stop of jones at the one was sick even though jones got in a play or two later
November 13th, 2008 at 11:58 pm
the boogie-down is in the house. nice.
teams jets dont want to face in the playoffs: Manning, Rivers, Cutler
it will get ugly. the secondary’s effort tonight was embarrassing against the hurry-up. didnt help that the rush was a joke.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:58 pm
The Jets get Tennesee next week while the Pats play the Dolphins. Anyone want to bet their tied again next Monday?
November 13th, 2008 at 11:59 pm
*they’re
/sg
November 13th, 2008 at 11:59 pm
Good call, I can see them using a closeup of that sick catch.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:59 pm
the jets will make the playoffs, lose in 1st rd.
November 14th, 2008 at 12:01 am
The Jets can beat SD, their defense is awful. But they will absolutely collapse against Cutler or manning
November 14th, 2008 at 12:01 am
He’s so overrated remember. Don’t worry about him.
November 14th, 2008 at 12:03 am
wu-tang documentary on BET
i’ve already learned that staten island is aka SHAOLIN
November 14th, 2008 at 12:04 am
If the playoffs started today:
Jets
Titans
Steelers
Broncos
Pats
Ravens
I think the Jets would want to avoid all of those teams except the Broncos. The Broncos are the easiest team in the group.
November 14th, 2008 at 12:04 am
Staten Island smells like garbage…because it was build on said garbage.
true story.
November 14th, 2008 at 12:04 am
36 Chambers!
November 14th, 2008 at 12:05 am
If the Colts beat the Texans on Sunday, they’ll get in over the Pats because they have the head-to-head tiebreaker.
November 14th, 2008 at 12:05 am
Titans-no
Steelers-maybe
Broncos-yes
Pats-maybe
Ravens-no
November 14th, 2008 at 12:06 am
The Wu kicks ass, but SI sucks
November 14th, 2008 at 12:06 am
“Man Ill sew your butt cheeks shut and keep feedin ya and feedin ya”
November 14th, 2008 at 12:08 am
Agreed. Unfortunately. Thomas Jones could do bad things against them. Luckily Favre would keep the Broncos in the game. Until the end when Jones single handedly runs out the final 12:31 of the clock, in which case my remote goes through the wall and into my neighbors head.
November 14th, 2008 at 12:08 am

BLAOWWW!!
November 14th, 2008 at 12:19 am
Love Gravel Pit…good shit.
On a happier note, that game probably got us at least a 2nd-rounder for Cassel. He keeps this up, we may even get a first-rounder out of the deal.
November 14th, 2008 at 12:23 am
Easily. we got a 2nd for AJ Feeley after he threw 5 ints in 5 games and threw at 55% a clip.
November 14th, 2008 at 12:23 am
“Bitch Ill put my Dick on yo lips”
/U God-Gravel Pit
November 14th, 2008 at 12:23 am
SM2535, are you wanting Matt Guiterrez as your back up after Brady had a serious knee surgery?
/Dante Culpepper
November 14th, 2008 at 12:30 am
I know that nobody is watching, but UCLA is in a fight with Miami(OH)
November 14th, 2008 at 12:37 am
Ha ha. No, but you know the Pats are gonna get some crazy offers for Cassel. Maybe he ends up the next Jim Sorgi, maybe the next Matt Schaub, who knows? But there’s got to be at least ten teams that would love to have him at QB, and you know some GM will pony up a first because he doesn’t want to risk it on a college QB. San Fran would make sense to me…
November 14th, 2008 at 12:48 am
San Fran would actually be somewhat logical. Just son’t know that they’d give up a good pick. Minnesota would also be good, had they not gave away the farm for Jared Allen.
November 14th, 2008 at 1:17 am
Forgot about Minny. They definitely would. I’d think you’d have to look at KC, Houston (doubtful w/Schaub), Chicago, Detroit, Tampa, St. Louis, and Seattle to go with SF and Minnesota. I can’t see them taking anything less than a 2 for him.
