Ballin’: Thunder Certainly Not Rolling
NBA November 18th. 2008, 10:00am
Phoenix 97, Utah 109: No Deron, no Okur, might mean a three-game losing streak would be extended … except that Utah’s bench outscored the Phoenix bench 59-16. Nash and Shaq were plagued by foul trouble, and the Big Superquote was held to one rebound in 31 minutes.
Houston 100, Oklahoma City 89: Sky is blue, water is wet, T-Mac and Yao are going to get injured. Is their stinky injury history going to rub off on Artest? All three went down in the game with knee, ankle, and ankle tweaks, respectively, put Luis Scola scored 23 points and even a depleted Rockets’ team is better than the 1-10 Thunder.
San Antonio 86, LA Clippers 83: Roger Mason broke a tie with a triple with 11 seconds left and Baron Davis missed an off-balance game-tying attempt at the horn and the Spurs are .500. The Paper Clips are 1-9.

Lebron James is the best player in the league

The officiating in last night’s suns game was an abortion. That is all.

The West is letting the Spurs off the hook this early in the season. They should not be letting them hang around .500 without Ginobili/Parker.

Abortion mean good. Right?
November 18th, 2008 at 10:10 am
Tampa, how many more stamps do you need on your abortion card before you get a free one?
November 18th, 2008 at 10:12 am
Hef, there are no cards. But they do have a buy one, get one free on twins.
November 18th, 2008 at 10:13 am
the clippers should be folded

Holy shit, OKC is bad. They’re now on pace to have the worst record in NBA history. Serves that asshole, Clay Bennett, right.

Fixed to fit with thread

The NBA needs Chris Herren back.

Re: Thunder, is Kevin Durant ever going to play like the superstar he was supposed to be?
Greg Oden laughs at the “Hype” talk while he watches Kevin Durant brick shot after shot. At least Oden is already competent on one end of the court. Durant sucks on both.

TBL, you’ve written 315 1-liners already? Christ.
November 18th, 2008 at 10:31 am
315 seems low, huh?
November 18th, 2008 at 10:33 am
I don’t know how to answer that.
November 18th, 2008 at 10:44 am
ok.

Granted it was against the Team formerly known as the Sonics, but the Rockets played well enough to win and got good production from the bench. McGrady didn’t shoot terribly, Artest shot better, Yao missed one shot and grabbed 12 rebounds. Aaron Brooks line wasn’t great, but is still contributing. We will see how everyone plays against Dallas on Wednesday night.
And Shane Battier will finally practice. This will make a difference.
November 18th, 2008 at 10:48 am
Just when Battier is to come back, Artest tweaks his ankle and McGrady gets his first annual ouchie. Ugh.
At least Scola remains a badass. If only Adelman would let him play more than 23 minutes a game.

How many “pro-lifers” does it take to change a light bulb?
120,000,002 Two to screw in the bulb and the rest to testify that it was lit from the moment they began screwing
November 18th, 2008 at 10:53 am
And quit playing Chuck Hayes. I want more Carl Landry.
You think there is a chance at all this season that Brooks takes over for Rafer (or that we trade Rafer)?
November 18th, 2008 at 11:06 am
Nick, I’m actually surprised Durant’s been as good as he has. He’s shooting almost 45% this season. Given how weak he is, I figured he’d be getting destroyed by physical defenders. Of course, I had low expectations of him coming into the league. The fact that he’s serviceable offensively is a pleasant surprise.

The title of this post reminds me of a great video game.
November 18th, 2008 at 11:23 am
Anyone see that KG got suspended for a game? The video of that “incident” might be the biggest pussy slap fight I have ever seen.
Pussies

I hope the Pistons beat the Nuggets and AI gets 50 whenever they play.
George Karl is a punk!!!!!!
November 18th, 2008 at 11:38 am
Garnett doing his “clap-clap” up and down the court to Jose Calderon was such a disgrace. I wish Charles Oakley was still on the Raps. He would’ve beaten the fuck out of that chest-beating pussy.
