Joey Porter’s Bizarre Pit Bull Logic
1-liner, NFL November 21st. 2008, 11:00amJoey Porter and Mike Vick: First it was Clinton Portis rushing to the aid of imprisoned former QB Mike Vick, and now, it is mouthy Joey Porter. “All it was was dogs. They act like they don’t even like pit bulls anyway. I got pit bulls, I’ve gotta put them under a different breed just to travel. You can’t fly pit bulls anywhere. So it’s not like cocker spaniels, something they like. They don’t even care for pit bulls.” Not really sure who “they” is. Just a guess, but jail does wonders for Vick, who returns to the NFL next year, plays well, and fans root for him. America loves a comeback. (Palm Beach Post)

Maybe, but I doubt he’ll play well after being out of the league for two years.

again…white people should know not to “disrespect” joey porter. how many times does this have to happen before we learn?
just a thought, what would happen to joey porter if someone actually showed him legitimate “respect?” would his head explode?

@sponge-worthy – He plead guilty, but no additional jail time. Didn’t Joey Porter’s dogs kill a miniature horse once?

peezy has been off the chain this year. who woulda thunk he’d be so dominant this year?

I don’t mind pit bulls, I just hate the people who raise them to be vicious only to brutally execute them for no reason at all.
Fuck dogfighters and the people who don’t get it.

I honestly can’t imagine a team giving Vick a chance, only because it would be a PR shitstorm. Kind of like Barry Bonds in baseball. Yeah, he might be able to help you out, but will that outweigh the media circus that comes along with him?

@August: there’s a reason they execute them, it’s when they stop winning matches and making money.
November 21st, 2008 at 11:33 am
@ St. Bear: they can find another way to make money that doesn’t involve torturing dogs to death.

Joey Porter is slowly replacing Joel Zumaya who had previously replaced Ray Lewis as a guy I’d be scared of if I came in contact with them on the street.

Joey Porter rules this season. So glad to have him back. He fears no body, talks trash to all, and has backed it up on the field.
He’s not some fraud like Chad Johnson, who ran his mouth all offseason and has done absolutely nothing this year.
November 21st, 2008 at 11:37 am
Happy…Joel Zumaya? just play some guitar hero and he wouldn’t be able to lift his arm.
ray murda on the other hand? shit, i watched his “beyond the glory” or whatever it’s called on fox sports and i was intimidated as hell. i don’t think there’s ever been a more intense athlete than ray lewis.

Anyone else noticing an absence of the commenting bar on the Jack McCallum story? I wanted to say what a shame it was he had to take a buyout.
November 21st, 2008 at 11:43 am
Yeah I don’t know what it is about Zumaya. I think it’s because he looks like a character from Blood In Blood Out. I don’t want his pork chop, I want his life. Chinga tu madre.

Joey Porter is a piece of trash. Always has been, always will be.
I will never ever root for Mike Vick. I hope that fucker gets decapitated by a linebacker the very first play he returns to the field. Fuck that piece of shit.

In a league with shitty ass QB’s all over the place, a Pro Bowler like Michael Vick will find a home somewhere. Losing is worse bad publicity than having a QB who served his time for a crime America all of a sudden had outrage for because the media told them to.
November 21st, 2008 at 12:22 pm
Ray Lewis didn’t look to intense when that hole opened up for Brandon Jacobs on the goal line.
