The Ax Falls on Washington’s Eddie Jordan
1-liner, NBA November 24th. 2008, 11:30amAdios, Eddie Jordan: We touched on the tenuousness of his tenure two weeks ago, and when we saw that the Wiz didn’t show up against the gutted Knicks Saturday, we knew he was in trouble. And today, he was fired. It was a bloody weekend for NBA coaches, as Choke Carlesimo was also handed his walking papers. At 2-11, is Dunleavy next? You’d have to figure Next Town Brown, despite collecting just three wins, certainly has a pass on this season (unless he voluntarily departs, as he’s wont to do.)

The Clips just ousted Elgin Baylor to give Dunleavy GM duties. He’s not going anywhere soon. Plus Donald Sterling doesn’t like to pay people to not work.

Would Larry Brown jump ship from Charlotte to DC? Nah…too crazy.
Carlesimo had to go. What else could the Son…I mean, Thunder, do?
As for Eddie Jordan, he had 3 years. Unfair that he goes when his team is injured to hell, but that’s the way the NBA works.

i understand carlesimo had to go, but do you really think any other coach could have done/do any better?

Thunder are fucking bad. When Jeff Green is playing the best for you, something has gone horribly wrong.

That’s weird. I could have sworn they signed Tim Thomas to a contract a few years ago.
