And Now, Dessert: Cowboys-Seahawks
NFL November 27th. 2008, 4:30pm
Two Thanksgivings ago, Tony Romo was still a relative unknown outside of Dallas, where he had taken over as the starting QB. His popularity soared right around this time in 2006 when he began dating Carrie Underwood of reality show fame. He briefly moved on to Sophia Bush, and then last year, right around Thanksgiving, settled in on Jessica Simpson. (The man has great taste in women).
The Cowboys are nearly two TD favorites against the Seahawks, but it’s one of those weird trap games: Long trip for Seattle, Cowboys are back at full strength, the Seahawks are out of the playoff hunt, and this is only a tuneup for Dallas before the big trip to Pittsburgh next week. All signs point to a Dallas rout, but we’re not so sure.

Let’s hope they keep this up. I really want them to put up 50 today.

Jarrett Lee could light up the Seattle defense and not even through an interception.

I admire the fact that you are still gettin’ it done on a holiday, but that sir, is a classic “Skip Bayless non-prediction prediction.”

Ah, Warner not playing at home or against some shitty NFC West team, looking like the Kurt we know and love.

Here’s his numbers for the the first 12 minutes…2/5 with two picks. 14-0 Philly, Eagles already in field goal range for a third score.

Wow…Maryland is fucking waxing Michigan State. Might we have another ACC player?

Wow…two picks in 12 minutes?
Yeesh. Even the Cardinals couldn’t blow that division lead.

McNabb is looking good tonight.

Damn the Cardinals for fucking up my parlay. What is it with west coast teams that play like pansies when they have to travel?

Not really. MSU is usually a slow starter, and they clearly need to get their shit together.
Also, that Wichita St/Georgetown game was pure garbage. I’ll be seeing highlights of that game in my nightmares.

dont have NFL Network where i am … 48-20? Proves a few more things:
1) McNabb, Reid are not nearly done
2) Cards still can’t play road games in the cold
3) Warner’s no MVP
November 27th, 2008 at 11:19 pm
4) Cardinal D is awful

whoa. maryland 80, MSU 62? bit of a surprise that it wasn’t remotely close. sucks that raymar morgan is on my fantasy college hoops team.

Yeah, Warner goes on the road against a good team and he throws three picks and his YPA plummets. The Cardinals aren’t going anywhere in the playoffs. They play a solid team, they lose. Washington? Loss. Carolina? Loss. NYG? Loss. Philly? Loss. Their only good wins are over Dallas and an early season win over Buffalo. Warner’s having a great season and the fact Arizona’s going to win that division is all well and good, but he doesn’t deserve another MVP award.
I still say the MVP will be sorted out by what happens in the AFC over the next five games. If Farve leads the Jets to the second seed, he probably wins it. If the Colts win out (highly possible with Cle, Cin, Det, Jax and a resting Tenn. team), Manning probably wins it. The Giants should have somebody in the conversation, but who do you plug in there? Dark horse might be Romo if the Cowboys end up winning 11 or 12 games.
