Minnesota 90, Charlotte 100: We made passing mention of it over the weekend - the Bobcats may have turned the corner. (Not that anyone’s watching!) Ray Felton had 14 points and 14 assists, J Rich (25 points) continued his strong play since returning from injury and Emeka Okafor added 24 as the Bobcats improved to 6-11. Kevin Love for Minny, in 15 games: 23 minutes a game, 40 percent from the field, eight points, six boards a night. Decent.

Orlando 88, Boston 107: Their backcourt’s banged up, and without Nelson and Pietrus, the Magic never stood a chance against Rondo (16 points, 12 assists) and Allen (21 points). Rashard Lewis had a season-high 30, but Orlando shot just 5-for-26 from three. JJ Redick had six points in 31 minutes.

Miami 130, Golden State 129, OT: Tough to put Don Nelson on the hot seat, what with his best player, Monta Ellis, out injured, but if the Warriors used to be indifferent about D, it clearly is optional now. They picked up their seventh loss in a row last night after getting crushed on the boards (51-36) and then letting Heat rookie Michael Beasley (19 points) steal an inbounds pass with less than 10 seconds left and sink the game-winning free throw. D Wade had 37; Jamal Crawford, who is winless in Golden State, had 40 in defeat. Neat: Both teams shot 90 percent from the line.

Since we’re fans of Greg Oden, here’s how he’s doing through 12 games: eight points, seven boards a night in 21 minutes, 52 percent from the field. The east coast gets a glimpse of Oden this week with first-place Portland traveling to up and down the I-95 corridor to face NY, Washington and Boston.
