Many people here have scored a TD at some level in football, hit a home run in a baseball game somewhere, and scored a goal in soccer at recess. But dunking a basketball? We’re probably oversharing here, but sometimes, while running on the treadmill and watching TV and the nearby basketball court, we envision ourselves rising up during a game and flushing one on the fast break. At any rate, enjoy this disgusting dunk by Dayton sophomore Chris “Top Flight” Wright. Best nickname in the country, and the best dunker, too.

i can’t tell you guys how pumped i am for the semifinals tonight. at 45 min intervals today, i’ve been defensive drills and jumping drills. dont laugh.
you know the defensive one where you assume the position and move your feet fast and then turn left and back and move your feet and then turn right, etc.
i have a feeling im going to have to guard this guy who AVERAGED 27 points a game in this league. i played him in the opener and he was dynamite. deceptively quick. lights out shooter. i had a good game against him (not defensively, though) and he told me they play on saturday mornings at 7 am (i have yet to show).
i may just try to deny him the ball all game long. we have no subs so i can’t foul him, but i def can’t let him get in a 3-point groove. they also have a guy who is like 6-8, but our big guy is far more athletic and should be able to handle him.

I can dunk…Chicken nuggets into BBQ sauce. That is the extent of my dunking. Dr. Said I was supposed to be 6-4 when I was born. Im 5-11 260 pounds.

Never been that enamored with dunking, b/c so many guys can do it and do it well. VC’s in-game dunks just really have not and probably will not be topped. Nobody combined VC’s hops with explosiveness and degree of difficulty in-games like Half Man Half/a Season.

i still fondly remember getting WORKED in a intramural quarterfinal game by a punk-ass team and i nearly got in a fight. the kid who i scuffled with was ejected and was making threats on the court.
as for dunking … so many people can throw it down? really? i dont know, on a personal level, many regular people who can dunk in a game.
clown - i didnt play in HS because i was small. i was a pretty good athlete up until about 7th grade, when everyone else outgrew me quickly. just too small to compete. some people max out in HS … im probably maxing out now as a player. smarter, better shooter, strong, and though my D has lost a step, the competitive fire is much strong nower.

Did any of you guys have a playground/friend’s house growing up with “short” hoops? This one playground at an elementary school had full court hoops at about 8.5 feet. Loved playing on those things - everything was in play.

TBL, I could dunk in HS but no longer. Ankle injuries and inactivity post-college got the best of me. And I don’t know many people that can throw it down any more. At least people under 6′4″ who can still throw it down.
