The kid, Scott Murton, is a very good D3 player — I think he had 28 in the game. I’m local (SUNY Geneseo is about 20 minutes south of Rochester).
He was interviewed live on ESPN this morning, which obviously must have been a thrill for the kid. Local news just did a little segment on all the attention.
Apparently before he got the call to do the ESPN interview he was working for a student-athlete on campus organization, shopping at Wal-Mart with money raised to buy poor kids Christmas presents.
Nice job, Scott.
