1-liner, Media Gossip/Musings, TV December 5th. 2008, 5:15pmDo Ratings Matter?: Nielsen passed along these impressive TV viewing stats for 2008 – the Beijing Olympics were the most-watched global event, ever (4.7 billion), the Patriots and Giants was the most-watched Super Bowl ever (97.5 million), Eagles-Cowboys on Monday night was the most-watched cable broadcast of all-time (18.6 million), the Tiger vs. Rocco US Open Playoff was the most-watched cable golf event of all-time (4.8 million), and Rays-Red Sox game seven was the most-watched cable baseball game ever (13.4 million).
