We love sharks. And by love, we mean we are hopelessly obsessed with the killing machines, while also being absolutely terrified of them. We haven’t gone in the ocean in years out of fear of sharks.

Still, Shark Week has our rapt attention, as do grizzly and macabre videos of shark attacks.

That being said … fishing is a sport, right? Because while poking around YouTube for our eight weeks of NFL previews, we found three minutes of gripping footage of a few fisherman trying to catch something called a tarpon (that’s a large fish). When a rather massive hammerhead shark shows up to the party unannounced … ah, we won’t spoil it for you. But everybody lives. Well, the humans, at least.
