But is it a sad commentary on sports when the only story emanating from Spurs camp in France is the on-again, off-again status of San Antonio point guard Tony Parker and actress/Maxim pin-up Eva Longoria? What, nothing in regards to Dallas, the Western Conference representative in the NBA Finals?

Along the lines of Mark McGwire carrying his young son in the days after the steroid hearings on Capitol Hill, ostensibly seeking the sympathy vote. We get the feeling the above warm and fuzzy photo is simply a cunning public-relations move, crafted by both parties to quell all the “Eva banged AC Slater” rumors.)
