Guess There Is Somthing Wrong With That: ESPNU Suspends Announcer For Use of ‘Gay’ During Iowa Game
Uncategorized October 31st. 2006, 4:09pm
Tough morning over at the Worldwide Leader. Remember that ESPNU announcer who used the word ‘gay’ in a not-so-flattering manner on-air during a college football game over the weekend?
Well, he’s been suspended.
Brian Kinchen, a color commentator, will not work a game this weekend, according to Josh Krulewitz, ESPN’s vice-president of public relations.
Krulewitz told The Des Moines Register Monday night that the network made its decision after an internal review.
On Saturday, Kinchen was explaining to a television audience that receivers need to make catches with their hands because they are “tender” and can “caress” the ball. He then paused and said, “that’s kind of gay, but hey…”
Here’s a reminder to all you budding on-air talents: Retarded is OK, gay is not. Actually, we should amend that – all you current NFL players hoping for jobs at ESPN after your career flames out, Retarded is OK, gay is not.

“Retarded” is ok because it was said by a black announcer. And blacks, except for Harold Reynolds, are untouchable.

Brian you are an idiot but it’s funny that you are scared of black people.

Kinchen’s comments were very gay and I give him props for calling himself on it. Better to be suspended one game than be known as they gay announcer forever!
