Boston 77, Houston 72: What a victory for the Celtics! A road win against a playoff team! Pierce had 28 and Al Jefferson added 16 points and 17 rebounds. Some win, especially considering the Celtics shot just 34 percent! Oh, wait. T-Mac and Yao sat this one out. Shane Battier and Rafer Alston combined to shoot 2-for-23, and as a team, Houston shot 1-for-22 from three.

Clippers 100, Bobcats 93: Six guys in double figures for the Paper Clips, who overtook the idle Hornets to grab the 8th playoff seed. Corey Maggette was 19-for-20 from the line and Elton Brand had 14 points and 12 rebounds. Adam Morrison played 32 minutes, scored 15 points, and didn’t have an assist. No Sean May or Emeka Okafor for the Bobcats.

New York 99, Miami 93: No need to be alarmed – the Heat played Sunday, had to get on a plane that night, fly to the Big Apple, and then play without Dwyane Wade. Jason ‘Lights Out’ Kapano had 24, but Eddy Curry had a beastly 28-11, and Stephon Marbury (25 points) was tough down the stretch in the victory.

Philadelphia 89, Sacramento 82: You know, Philly may have made a good move dealing Iverson. Let’s say Oden doesn’t come out, and Philly is able to snag Kevin Durant with the top pick. You mix him with Sam Dalembert (20 points, 17 rebounds) and the backcourt of Andre Iguodala (22 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists), and Andre Miller (18 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists) and you may have something.

Denver 111, Memphis 107: Could have gone with the Lakers or the Josh Howard ankle injury here .. but Melo scored 33 points and AI added 25 points for the Nuggets, who are barely clinging to that 7th seed in the West. Rookie Rudy Gay had 18 for the Grizz.
