Clippers 103, Bulls 89: Somebody wanted us to mention the Bulls, and here ya go – caving in the fourth quarter, at home, despite a strong 19 points,16 rebounds, and seven assists from Ben Wallace. The Paper Clips are now virtually even with the Warriors for the 8th playoff spot in the West.

Portland 100, Washington 98: Even though the Blazers’ top player, Zach Randolph, didn’t play, LaMarcus Aldridge did, and the rookie scored 25 points, plus rookie Brandon Roy added 19 points and 12 rebounds in a stirring upset in the Northwest.

Dallas 92, New York 77: The Knicks had two more injury scares (Stephon Marbury and Channing Frye), which is unfortunate, because the Mavericks have still have Dirk and Josh Howard. They split 48 points and kept the Knicks half a game behind Orlando for the 8th playoff spot.

Charlotte 108, Cleveland 100, OT: LeBron had 31, but the Bobcats got 27 from Gerald Wallace and 19 points and 10 rebounds from Walter Hermann, and put an end to Cleveland’s 8-game winning streak. Perhaps the Cavaliers were looking ahead to Dallas tonight.

Denver 94, New Jersey 90: We predicted this over at the Fanhouse as soon as Carmelo’s fiancée gave birth, but the Nuggets won their fifth in a row as Anthony scored 30 points, offsetting a 29-point, 9-assist, 7-rebound performance from Vince Carter.
