Schrutebag Drop-Kicked by Olbermann
Uncategorized April 18th. 2007, 7:59pm
It had been a few days since our thoughts drifted to the man better known as Schrutebag, but within the last hour, we’ve had a flurry of emails from readers about said jerkoff. Eric Allen walked off the set of his show! One of his media buddies in Vegas blew him this morning with a massive puff piece! Olbermann just trashed him on Dan Patrick’s show! Cowherd hurled racial comments at a stripper in the early 1990s! Ok, that last one was in an email from a reader, and at the risk of running into a Dan Rather-type situation here, we’ll slap a big allegedly onto that debacle. First, the other updates:
* West Coast power Sports by Brooks destroys the massive blowjob delivered by Cowherd’s Vegas buddy, Bill Taaffe. There’s no point in reading the piece, for it can be summarized in this mind-blowing sentence: ‘Now that Don Imus has self-destructed, with a huge assist from CBS chairman Leslie Moonves, who waited to see which way the wind was blowing before firing him, Cowherd could be the most controversial national voice on commercial radio.’ Right.
* A reader listening to Dan Patrick’s show sent this in:
‘Keith Olbermann KILLED Shrutebag on the Dan Patrick show today (around 2:45 or so). Apparently, Shrutebag had railed against Olberman on his show for being chosen as the new co-host for NBC’s Sunday Night Football, saying who was too liberal to connect with football fans and other such nonsense. Patrick played Shrutebag’s diatribe for Olbermann, and Olbermann commenced to lay into him for about ten minutes. Besides constantly asking Patrick to remind him of who this ill-informed peon was, Olbermann pointed out that his entire argument was framed on Shrutebag just pulling stuff out of his ass and that Shrutebag was clearly suffering from a case of sour grapes.’
* And lastly, the stripper story. After he wiped us off the map, plenty of slam-jobs on Cowherd came in from all of his frenemies and even co-workers in Bristol. Clearly, he’s not well-liked. We resisted posting many of them because we just wanted that story to go away. But this seems like a fine time to mention one of the stories: According to a reader, the year was 1991 or 1992. Cowherd was in an NL-only fantasy baseball league with other members of the Las Vegas media (and ad agencies). There were 12 teams in the league, and at the draft after-party (held in a printing company board room), a stripper was hired. She was not white. ‘Only Colin acted like a dick. He is so not the guy he pretends to be on air.’ We won’t be posting the alleged remarks he made, but ‘he suggested we go to a topless place where the hookers were hotter.’
We know everyone boozes it up and acts like an ass when strippers show up, but the reader who sent this was most upset because all of Cowherd’s recent comments about Don Imus using the word ‘ho’ were a complete contradiction of how he apparently is in ‘real life.’ We don’t know what his comments about Imus were because frankly, we don’t listen to the show.
To recap: bloggers detest Cowherd, plenty of folks at ESPN can’t stand the guy, and now Keith Olbermann clowned him. Seems like such a great guy!
[Sorry, forgot to add a link to the talk of Eric Allen walking off the set. It can be found here, although recently, some posters are backing off the 'walking off the set' and altering it to 'abruptly leaving at the end.']

“‘Now that Don Imus has self-destructed, with a huge assist from CBS chairman Leslie Moonves, who waited to see which way the wind was blowing before firing him, Cowherd could be the most controversial national voice on commercial radio.’”
Comedy. Pure and simple. Thank you. Oh, the Humor.
April 18th, 2007 at 8:16 PM
The clip they played of Cowherd had him questioning why they would choose KO. KO basically said he should shut the fuck up because he was on sportscenter and was more than qualified to do the highlights. Priceless
April 18th, 2007 at 8:16 PM
some PLEASE type up what olbermann had to say about cowturd… please!
April 18th, 2007 at 8:19 PM
I heard the ‘rant’ by Olbermann and it was pretty much spot on. Cowherd sure seems to be a major whiner.
April 18th, 2007 at 8:20 PM
Maybe that means he can get fired easily…and hopefully quickly?
Anything to get that whiny douche off the radio.
April 18th, 2007 at 8:22 PM
Olbermann shredded Cowherd on air? Wow . . . I’d pay for ESPN Insider just to hear that masterpiece of a beatdown.
April 18th, 2007 at 8:23 PM
I’m interested to know what your website hits are after “Shrutebag” killed your site. I would have never heard of you otherwise. But now, I’m enjoying the site and you’re in my Google Reader feeds. “Shrutebag” probably did more for you in two days, than you could have done in a lifetime for yourself, so it’s probably time to call a spade a spade.
Keep up the great work, but lose the vendetta and move on. It’s just not worth it.
April 18th, 2007 at 8:25 PM
I love how despite Cowherd’s show coming on right before the Big Show, Olberman played it off like he had no idea who the guy was.
What a whiny asshole.
April 18th, 2007 at 8:27 PM
Olberman is great. His glasses know more about sports than the shrute in shrutebag’s bag.
April 18th, 2007 at 8:30 PM
I especially like the story about the stripper. When someone can’t remember what year something happened, you might want to take what they say with a grain of salt.
Please!
April 18th, 2007 at 8:39 PM
Dammit is Cowherd an asshole. You know that it kills DP that “The Herd” leads into this own show. I can’t wait until this jackass is off the radio.
April 18th, 2007 at 8:46 PM
Does anyone know what he said to make Eric Allen walk off the set?
April 18th, 2007 at 8:53 PM
Olberman is a moron. Cowherd knows more about the pulse of the american sportsfan than Olberman ever will. Olberman is a baseball guy. He is a condescending jerk and always will be. I hope Herd shuts this site down again. Go ahead and kill the kitty.
April 18th, 2007 at 8:54 PM
“I hope Herd shuts this site down again. Go ahead and kill the kitty.’
Oh jeez. The Comedy and Humor cease to stop. Thank you, Mike. Please get back to your interning duties.
April 18th, 2007 at 9:17 PM
Cowherd knows more about the pulse of the american sportsfan than Olberman ever will.
Ha! People really say and write things like that? I’m reminded of a Simpsons episode when Homer is in space with James Taylor…
Buzz: With all due respect, Mr. Taylor, this isn’t the best time
for your unique brand of bittersweet folk rock. We have a
potentially critical situation here. I’m sure you’ll
understand.
April 18th, 2007 at 9:18 PM
I agree with Dan here… just let this thing go. Its old news.
April 18th, 2007 at 9:24 PM
Wow. I thought on air Disney on Disney crime was prohibited. (I realize Olberman is NBC but he does appear on DP’s show daily).
Also, I never hear anything but bitching and moaning from ESPN over NBC’s Sunday night deal. Sour fucking grapes.
April 18th, 2007 at 9:29 PM
there are now 55 people on a pre-game show with the addition of Olbermann, the Solid Gold Dancers and coochie coochie girl Charo
Who cares, it’s not like Olbermann’s going to have a lot of time to talk about anything than a 30 second highlight clip, Bettis smiling and saying “he runs real well” and Tiki saying something clearly but non-descript
April 18th, 2007 at 9:41 PM
Mike must really be Bill O’Reilly

the eric allen walking off the show was a joke. clearly comical on his and cowherd’s part.
this is a good blog…but the age of whoever writes it really shows when you don’t know who joey crawford is…and won’t let go of the cowherd thing.
April 18th, 2007 at 9:47 PM
I really like Colin but he was bitch slapped by Olbermann today. KO and Dan MADE hignlights what they are today!! Shit he is part of the reason why ESPN is able togive Colin a paycheck. So what is his beef??? Also, and to add to what Ted said, what is up with ESPN having such cock envy with NBC? Ever since this NFL deal was signed ESPN seems to be pissed off that NBC got a better deal. I don’t know, I have just heard Dan and Colin talk about it so many times that it has stopped being funny but almost unprofessional.

You should really be thanking The Turd. I listen on the way to work and after he shafted you guys I had to check the site out..which I spend all day at work checking out. He may be a clown but….well he is a clown.
April 18th, 2007 at 10:08 PM
It’s fairly obvious – this is a man grabbing at anything to create controversy. Take out blogs. Take out a guy who has dominated the ratings at MSNBC for the last year.
It’s probably best to just ignore the guy. It’s not even that he’s a ’shock jock!’ … he’s just not very bright and actually quite uninformed.
From Olbermann’s wiki:
Olbermann’s show “Countdown” posted the largest gains in total viewers for the first quarter of 2007 over the first quarter of 2006 in the 8pm timeslot; at +76%, Countdown’s gains dwarfed O’Reilly (+5%), Paula Zahn (-10%), and Nancy Grace (+12%). Overall, O’Reilly still commanded by far the largest number of total viewers for that time slot in the first quarter of 2007, Olbermann, the second largest.
April 18th, 2007 at 10:11 PM
why is everyone having so much trouble spelling “schrutebag”?
I think nunya is Coward’s current girlfriend.
And Mike is no doubt Coward’s homosexual boyfriend-on-the-side.
April 18th, 2007 at 10:25 PM
In all fairness, I listen to both shows in their entirety at work every day and enjoy both of them. I’m a programmer so I’m at my desk listening to ESPN Radio and usually get up during commercials or between shows.
Since DP and KO brought this up, the only thing I can remember them saying is that KO was “CO-Hosting” the show with Costas. Not once do I remember them saying he was doing play-by-play. I asked another programmer who listens all the time and he said the same thing I did.
I think KO will be fine no matter what he does on the show, so I don’t agree with Colin about that. By the way, until he had you guys ‘blown up’ the other day, I had never heard of your site. Now that I know about it, I check in a few times a day and enjoy it, so I hope you don’t carry this grudge against him forever!

Here’s the Olbermann response that I pulled out for my site….figured I’d post it here…..
Who is this again?- KO
It’s Colin Cowherd….he’s a radio host on ESPN. He does the show prior to this one.- DP
I’m not familiar…has he been here long?- KO
He’s been here…..he took over for Tony Kornheiser- DP
Ohhhh…..what did he do before that?- KO
He was in Portland, Oregon….very successful in Portland, Oregon- DP
Ever done television?- KO
He did television in Las Vegas I believe- DP
Did he do NFL Highlights on National Television after Sunday and Monday Night games, and all day Sunday for say ESPN for any length of time?- KO
I don’t believe he ever has.- DP

Not to rain on your wikipedia party, but you need to look at the other side of those “stats.”
Olbermann is consistently 8th in Primetime news show ratings, his meager following of 600k viewers absolutely dwarfed by Bill O and Hannity’s 2.3 and 2.1 million, respectively (I am not endorsing, just giving the facts). Shows that are just getting started will always enjoy a larger “percentage increase” than the big boys.
Also, it must be said that Cowherd was actually very complimentary of Olbermann, saying he would rather watch him than someone like O’Reily. He just didn’t think KO appealed to middle America. He used Green Bay fans as an example. The fact is, Keith Olbermann creates controversy with other media types wherever he goes in the hopes it will create more viewers for HIS show (He’s like a slightly less masculine version of Rosie O’Donnell).
I’m not here to defend Cowherd, but the fact that Keith “I don’t know how to tell you this…but I’m kind of a big deal” Olbermann spent nine minutes defining the term “inferiority complex” by bad mouthing someone who he tried to make us believe was so unimportant that Olbermann had never heard of him! Very contradictory…if he doesn’t matter Keith prove it by saying, “Huh, never heard of him.” and move on to obscure, un-provable baseball “facts” from 1908.
Having said that, I love TBL.com
April 18th, 2007 at 11:36 PM
For those of you who don’t wanna hear the audio, there’s a partial recap at http://relevantortrue.blogspot.com/2007/04/can-we-get-colin-cowherd-on-cover-of.html.
April 19th, 2007 at 12:04 AM
olberman is a joke. he was a new reader at espn, nothing more.
what cowherd said was correct, and olberman didnt tear anyone apart.
April 19th, 2007 at 12:20 AM
the best was when cowherd said “joe buck speaks to me.” joe buck can speak to him as much as possible. that would mean joe buck wouldnt be speaking to me, which would be a cool time
April 19th, 2007 at 12:33 AM
Olberman is a baseball guy. He is not adding anything to an already crowded telecast. NBC is putting him on the telecast so they can push his show on msnbc, period. I hope he catches O’reilly, I can’t stand that prick either. The Herd still rules. This site owes him a debt of gratitude. If he didn’t mention it on the air, no one would be reading this.
April 19th, 2007 at 12:59 AM
I was excited to listen to this “slam” by Olberman, but it was pretty lame. Keith trying to pretend he didn’t know who Cowherd was was pretty pathetic, as was his playing the “Everyone knows who I am and no one knows who he is” card. My ass he doesn’t know who he is. The only really good slam he got in was at the end when he said it sounded like Herd was jealous because he didn’t get the job. That was pretty dumb as well as Herd would be the first one to tell you that he would not be a good fit for that show and the fact that he works for Disney, not NBC.
Basically, Olberman was trying to prove how he was a better choice then Herd for the job, even though Herd never said that he would be better then Olberman. Plus, Olberman proved Herd right when he acted like the arrogant north easterner guy that he is and won’t relate to a football audience. Pretty lame Keith.
April 19th, 2007 at 1:03 AM
A debt of gratitude for violating federal law?
Fuck that.
Sue his balls off.
And Mikey, plenty of people were reading this site before that pathetic dickhead pulled his little stunt — they just weren’t mouth-breathing Schrutebag sycophants.
April 19th, 2007 at 1:39 AM
We should hail this sole to listen to him he invented the game of FB and is the only one who understands it.Olbermann has forgotten more football than this nit-wit will ever know. He’s not sure if the ball is filled with air or rags. He sounds like a someone who is flat-assed depressed because he did not get the gig.It is no secret that he loves the hate relationship he has with his listeners…he says “it is what drives my great ratings.” How can the ESPN suits continue to keep this guy around?
April 19th, 2007 at 1:42 AM
I don’t particularly like “Shrutebag” as you call him, but I abhor Olberman and what the Shrute said about him WAS spot on. Besides, NBC has to many people in Studio as it is. Olberman is a blowhard who can’t even be made fun of by DP without whining. Also, Olberman’s supposed slap down of Cowherd was lame, it consisted of trying to pretend he didn’t know his name. Get over yourself Olberman.
BTW, I also now read your blog regularly because of Cowherd. Don’t hate me just because I find Olberman to be a phoney, a fool, and a blowhard.
April 19th, 2007 at 1:44 AM
I wouldn’t really call this a “rant.” I don’t think Cowherd was particularly ripping Olbermann (and he even said he likes his MSNBC show and thinks he’s great on baseball) and Olbermann didn’t rant at Cowherd so much as he just defended his own credibility.
Cowherd’s problem, as always, is that he decided not to do his homework. He said Olbermann doesn’t speak to Middle America and while his extremely liberal views probably don’t, Middle America loved him on SportsCenter, back before they knew of his political beliefs. There’s a reason why SportsCenter became a cultural phenomenon when Dan and Keith were doing the show. It’s also not a surprise that the show began deteriorating after Keith left and well completely to hell after Dan more or less left for his NBA and radio gigs. He also said Keith isn’t a football guy, yet Keith has quite an extensive history of covering football. Citing all of this is essentially what Olbermann did. It wasn’t him ranting against Cowherd, it was him saying, “If I’m not a football guy, what about my time anchoring FSN’s coverage of the Super Bowl?”
My problem with Cowherd is that he comes across as uninformed, largely because it’s pretty obvious he doesn’t do his homework. He’s entitled to not thinking Olbermann is a good choice. But I would rather he use as an explanation of his opinion that “I just don’t think Olbermann is that good, he doesn’t work for me” because that would be far more valid than “Keith’s a baseball guy,” a true statement to a degree but a false statement in its implication that he has no business covering football when he has done it a lot in his career–something Cowherd could have discovered had he just done a Google search of Olbermann.
Cowherd, do your homework so you know what you’re talking about before you speak and half of your problems will go away.

I’m so glad I jumped off the Schrutebag bandwagon
April 19th, 2007 at 3:26 AM
never get up vendettas. the longer they last, the better they are.
April 19th, 2007 at 3:41 AM
They’re both pompous windbags. Cowherd is mostly full of crap and basically says stuff to piss people off. Olbermann is full of himself. Pitiful. They should have a sissy slap fight in the parking lot at Bristol.
April 19th, 2007 at 3:45 AM
I just listened to the “Eric Allen walk-off” on ESPN insider. Very obvious it was a joke. Not a controversy. Sorry! No juice there!
April 19th, 2007 at 4:52 AM
Shrutebag thinks he’s Stern and has compared himself to Howard on more than one occasion. Just as is his practice, six months from now, he’ll pull a John Kerry and flip-flop; saying that KO is a great addition to the NBC lineup.
April 19th, 2007 at 12:26 PM
Regarding KO – you have to admit that Cowherd’s right.
Olbermann’s the last highbrow, merlot-drinking, Hillary-supporting, righteous MF that I want to listen to on a football show. He’s nothing but a rich-kid grown up to be the snob that his parents taught him to be. In his rant, KO makes a lot of “I did this …”, and “I hosted this …” BS statements. Guess what, dude – you did them all once and haven’t been asked back. Why? Because you suck and no one wants to listen to you talk down to them.
Keep to MSNBC – that audience must be his demo since I never watch it.
April 19th, 2007 at 12:34 PM
Can Schrutebag raise and lower his cholestorol on his own?
April 19th, 2007 at 12:40 PM
While I agree that both are pompous windbags, Olbermann has some credibility. To say a “left-wing liberal from the Northeast” couldnt be the voice of the NFL fan, is a bit hyprocritical.
Shrutebag needs to look no further than his own network, for “elitist Northeasterners” as he referred to Olberman. Hell, most of the heads on the four-letter 24 hour news show look like stock brokers.
Was never a big fan of KO, but his 10 minutes yesterday was great radio.
April 19th, 2007 at 12:45 PM
Pile on Shrutebag!! I love it.
April 19th, 2007 at 12:46 PM
Mike North and Schrutebag, may be the same person, I’ve never seen them in the same room.
(only people in Chicago will get this)
April 19th, 2007 at 1:18 PM
I never heard of you guys until the on-air mention by Cowherd, now I’m here every day, multiple times at that. Just out of curiousity I’d like to see how much the numbers here have increased since that day.
Olbermann has a tendancy to come across as a pompas asshole on his T.V. show but is much cooler and likeable on DP’s show, it will be interesting to see how he acts during the football broadcast. Keep up the good work.
April 19th, 2007 at 2:31 PM
Schrutebag’s mistake is believing that ‘middle America’ knows or cares about the political views or associations of a guy doing a few minutes of highlights during small portions of play stoppages in Sunday night games. If average middle America football fan is not up urinating, getting another beer, or sleeping by the time KO appears on the screen, he will probably only think ‘Hey, that guy used to be on Sportscenter!’, if he’s old enough that is.
April 19th, 2007 at 2:47 PM
Memo
To: Schrutebag Interns and Friend
Re: Damage Control
The only way we’ll survive is by making friends with the Big Lead people. To do this, you are encouraged to make as many postings to the Big Lead as possible, saying some combination of the following: if not for Schrutebag, you’d have never heard of the site; now that you’ve heard of it, you like it, and it would be better if they’d stop bashing Schrutebag.
Thank you.
April 19th, 2007 at 3:01 PM
Both of those guys have voices in the ultra-super-annoying frequency range.
Douche Cowherd with his faux Nicholson and Olbermann with his phlegmy tenor…
And put that Grimace looking motherfucker on the tube with Costas…
Another show I won’t be watching this season with a regularity of turning down the volume or turning off the TV during the second quarter of any ESPN broadcast NFL game.
You know who is good? Dave Sims, Joel Myers and God-forbid, Bob “I hate the Steelers” Trumpy. They do good work on the radio side.
April 19th, 2007 at 3:04 PM
Colin C is right Olberman is a joke as a host of the NFL on NBC.
Hes way too liberal and turns off just about everyone. Hes only there so he can get free advertising for his low (lows being generous) rated MSNBC show
April 19th, 2007 at 3:06 PM
I think Cowherd needs to stop comparing himself to Howard Stern. Maybe he can go on his show and be spanked by him and told ‘Good boy Herd, good boy’. Colin, you’re not Stern and your audience doesn’t want you to be. Stop sucking Stern’s balls.
April 19th, 2007 at 3:23 PM
You guys can snipe at one another ’til the cows come home…the one thing that really pisses me off is saying that because one enjoys wine, one must be some sort of effete liberal.
Shut the fuck up, dumbshits.
April 19th, 2007 at 5:38 PM
Olberman’s decision to make his morality and liberal tactics as the “correct and only” way in America will doom the show. It has already had a negative impact to the DP show. He is an elitist – look at his sorry viewership numbers.
He is a sad re-tread. His polotics and opinions are phony.
Cowherd stay’s away from polotics – as he should. He hosts a “sports” radio show. He is right on – Olberman is to radical for middle america. It was a bad pregame show that just became unwatchable.
Keep up the good work at his site. New to it today.
April 19th, 2007 at 6:12 PM
“Take out a guy who has dominated the ratings at MSNBC for the last year.”
Wow that’s not hard to do. Dominating those ratings isn’t hard when you get outdrawn by “Simpsons” reruns and Joan Rivers shilling cubic zirconia on HSN. Olbermann is a deeply-closeted homosexual who keeps his job by vainly barking at others who have real power and make a real difference. That sock fucker still draws 1/20 the audience that O’Reilly does by bleating Moveon.org talking points and huffing the butt of all the leftists that Imus discarded.
April 19th, 2007 at 9:08 PM
Cowherd is right. I only found out about this site because of what Cowherd did (it was pretty shitty but it had to help The Big Lead in the long run). Olberman is exactly what people outside the big cities despise, an arrogant know it all, and his ratings reflect that……they suck on MSNBC.
April 23rd, 2007 at 4:57 PM
Cowherd is absolutely horrendous. I am in Portland, and he was successful here. Do you know why? Because his show was formatted differently. He did none of the whiny, high pitched, God Complex stuff that ESPN seems to have him doing.
When he was a local guy here, he would frequently comment about the under-paid jackasses at ESPN. Then he took the job. Most everyone I know was excited because he was enjoyable at the local market level. Then he changed, and I refuse to listen. I will never listen. I absolutely despise his show, and honestly know of no one that likes it.
Oh, and calling him a left wing liberal is a huge slap in the face of left wing liberals (like me). I mean, this guy wears dockers and gets his feathered hair cut at Great Clips. Then he listens to Hootie and the Blowfish on his way to Applebees and reads Culture Warrior while waiting for his baby-backs.
By not listening, I never have to hear him say “hey cupcake, hey couscous”….good lord, as if that is remotely funny.
May 7th, 2007 at 3:08 PM
[...] when Dan Patrick’s sidekick, Keith Olbermann, obliterated the nebbish Colin Cowhered a few weeks back on ESPN radio? Apparently, Olbermann hasn’t been heard from since on Patrick’s show. Has [...]
May 7th, 2007 at 6:50 PM
Cowherd can be a tool, just like every other sports talk radio guy. Calling him the most controversial radio host though is so incredibly ridiculous, as 2 seconds of twisting the am dial will show, that it probably should only be reprinted as parody. And Olbermann, the guy’s funny as Dan Patrick’s sidekick or busting on O’Reilly, beyond that he comes across as a smarmy know-it-all that rarely knows that much. What Cowherd did was dick, but I hope you’re only keeping up the feud to continue profiting off the free publicity. Especially since who you’ve got in that corner, ain’t anymore impressive than Cowherd. And repeating unsubstantiated rumors that imply he’s a racist, whoa, that could be lower than what he did. Keep the high ground
May 8th, 2007 at 6:41 AM
Wow you guys are piling on, nothing like some independent thought. KO is a bleeding liberal, is very smart has been around a long time, but he’s no great icon like some of you hold him that high of regard for. Cowherd is solid, intellingent, cocky yes, but a very good host. You know who stinks is Patrick. Patrick gets more access to athletes than anyone and is a good interviewer, but he’s as whiney as they come and if he was rumored gay I wouldn’t be shocked in the least, he flirts with male guest on the regular, 3/4 of his show is him whining about the same topic all day long. Honestly I listen to a little bit of all of them. But the best in the business is Jim Rome bar none, the rest are a huge dropoff.
May 8th, 2007 at 11:01 AM
Snopes would have a field day with the accuracy of some of the shite you people post.
The Eric Allen bit was a goof you idiots. He wasn’t upset or offended him simply pulled a Manny-esqu walk off after burning the Herd.
Colin verbally abusing a stripper in Vegas 16 years ago at a stripper party. What kind of wizard or genious remembers what a young TV/Radio host said at a strip show? Can any of you remember a conversation from a stripper show? If so you are an impotent internet geek who needs to take it up a level and get a hooker.
I do agree the Herd’s Dennis Miller bit is tired and doesn’t resemble humour in any way. Then again neither does anything Dennis Miller says these days.
Love KO but he loves himself even more. Yes he puts even Warren Beatty to shame with his vanity as he played off he didn’t know who Colin Cowherd was. Realise he acts like he doesn’t know anything about the other 2 hours of the DP Show but not to know who the host is prior to DP is a joke. Plus not a thing KO said was funny, he was just being a prick and took Colin’s comments a bit out of context and far too personally. And how many of you see KO as a NFL guy, seriously.
And I agree with many of you that where this site be without the Herd meltdown? Not sure about your hits prior to and after but know I wouldn’t be checking out your site without the controversey. And yes, don’t be the psycho girlfriend and let go for god sakes. It’s borderline embarassing.
Veritas nunquam perit. Too bad for most of you.

We read the Eric Allen ‘goof’ on a message board and linked to it. And yes, there’s no question Cowherd blowing us up sent a few new readers our way. Nobody’s ever denied that. Believe it was on NPR, if you listen to the clip.

Mike is spot on with his take. Olberman is a uninformed jerkoff and DP is his pathetic little puppy. Each day for one hour, DP bows down and serves up softballs to KO because after all, he is “saving the democracy.” What a load of shit! Cowherd was complimentary of KO and was exactly right in analyzing the on air football position. Colin’s left nut sac knows more about football than KO ever did. KO is pissed because his radical views are sinking his crappy show and he needs all the time DP will give him to keep pushing his agendas.
And, yes, I wouldn’t ever have found out about this blog if it weren’t for Colin, so maybe you should look in the mirror next time you rip into “schrutebag” because I bet he’s responsible for over half your readers.

Cowherd is a no talent reject. His show is so bad I can’t listen anymore. ESPN radio generally has declined since Tony Bruno left. But Cowherd is so much worse than everyone else on the network it is pathetic.
One wonders if ESPN pays this idiot so little that they just don’t care how bad he is.
