Gosh, We’re Going to Miss Steve Nash and the Suns
Uncategorized May 19th. 2007, 2:20pmWell Phoenix lost. The series is over. It’s going to be Spurs-Jazz in the Western Conference Finals, and Cleveland-Detroit in the East. Among the many reasons we’ll miss the Suns – the incredibly funny, still-underrated Steve Nash, who is probably one of the five coolest athletes in all of sports.
The Fanhouse unearthed this gem: during the press conference following the Suns game five loss, a rude reporter takes a cell phone call, and presumably talks to his friend about a date. Nash – follow his eyes – jumps in with a shoulder shrug and a ‘I hope she’s hot.’

He is awesome. He seems like a really down to earth guy.

I remember when he was still with Dallas and Charles Barkley was bustin’ his chops about his long hair. His response: “it’s for the ladies.”

As cool as Nash already already was, that just made him that much more accepted in every hood in America.

This is the first time in about 10 years where i followed a good share of NBA (suns and nets and now that they’re both out goodnight NBA!) and the fact that steve nash is underrated is amazing and true..The last two years I thought he shouldn’t have been MVP as a casual NBA follower but after watching him its almost impossible not to give it to him, he makes everyone better and last night led a pretty valiant effort to try to get back in the game instead of maling it in( paging: Dirk Nowitzki). He probably should have won it this year..

If Steve Nash didn’t have such soft players around him, the Suns might still be alive. Don’t hate the Spurs because they take it up that notch in the playoffs that other teams (Suns and Mavs) seem yet to find.
