No Brewers Wet Their Pants While Filming a Soap Opera

As if there was any doubt whether or not the NL Central division-leading Milwaukee Brewers have hit the big-time, the answer is unquestionably yes. A handful of players, including stud-in-waiting Bill Hall (seen above), are going to appear on wildly popular soap opera Young & the Restless next month.
“I was nervous,” admitted Hardy, who along with teammates Bill Hall, Chris Capuano and Jeff Suppan had an early wake-up call to film a scene for CBS’s top-rated soap on a set at Television City.
“I didn’t know what to expect. And when those lights come on, your heart starts pounding.”
After two flawless takes of the scene with actors Peter Bergman, Michelle Stafford and Billy Warlock, however, one never would have known the players were not seasoned actors. Bergman, a lead actor on “The Young and the Restless” for 18 years and a 29-year veteran of soaps, came away duly impressed.
“These guys followed direction perfectly and it worked out great,” said Bergman, who plays Jack Abbott on the soap. “Bill Hall seemed to be the most natural at it. From the very beginning, he seemed at ease. The other guys were a little hyped up. Bill settled into it right away. He was very comfortable.”
There’s probably a joke in here about Hall or Hardy peeing their pants – to jive with that whole silly fan promotion thing – or Stephen A. Smith, but we’re unable to locate it.

“Okay, our Soap Opera is pretty good – not great – but good. We need something to really push it over the top.”
“How about a love triangle?”
“No, we just did one of those.”
“How about a murderer moves to town and tries to shut down all the businesses? You know, a real evil guy. Audiences love evil guys.”
“No, they’ll see that coming.”
“What about the Milwaukee Brewers?”
“That’s freakin’ genius! Somebody get Bud Selig on the horn!”

Do they lose 9 of 12 on the show too?

No, because guest staring on a soap opera is a win-win situation, not a win 3 – lose 9 situation.

The soap is set in Wisconsin hence having the Brewers on the show instead of say the Yankees or the Red Soxs
