Yardwork: Welcome Back, Ryan

Braves 6, Phillies 13: It’s taken forever, but the Phillies seem to have righted the ship. Ryan Howard returned from the DL and mashed two homers, and Cole Hamels once again had electric stuff on the mound, and Philly swept the Braves in Atlanta.
San Diego 3, Milwaukee 0: Jake Peavy hurled seven innings of two-hit ball as the Padres swept the bumbling Brewers. Peavy’s been nothing short of incredible through the first two months, racking up a 7-1 record with a 1.47 ERA. You know who else has been impressive? First baseman Adrian Gonzalez, who rapped his 12th homer of the season.
Yankees 3, Anaheim 4: Mike Mussina pitched well, but the bullpen once again crapped themselves, and New York was swept in the Bronx. Joe Torre was booed off the field. A-Rod’s average dipped below .300 for the first time this season. The Yankees are now fourth in the AL East. Unrelated, but funny as shit: this video.
Arizona 8, Houston 4: That’s eight defeats in a row for the Astros, and the natives are restless. According to sources, Carlos Lee’s back is flaring up because he’s sick and tired of carrying this team. Ensberg, where you at? Berkman? McFly?
Cincinnati 10, Pittsburgh 14: Ben Roethlisberger passed for 216 yards and more importantly ran in the game-winning score with :06 seconds left as the Steelers clipped the Bengals in an AFC tussle.
Cleveland 5, Detroit 3: The Indians sweep the Tigers on the road to open up a 2.5 game lead in the AL Central. A week after we released our best teams in the AL list and you guys ripped us, here’s the newly updated Fab 4: Anaheim, Cleveland, Boston, Detroit. Wait, is that the same order we had last week? Fear not, Boston fans, once Beckett returns, you’ll be on top.

Need to move Boston to the top. Stop with the Anaheim infatuation. Sweeping the aging, decrepit Yankees is barely worth the effort.
Oh, and my Tigers better call up one Mr. Andrew Miller, stat, as the bullpen just reeks.
