BulldogHockey-Rocket’s playing on a half a groin. Bosox keep starting their knucklehead knuckballer who just serves up juicy HRs. Okay, Konowalchuk-I’m reserving my talk for August. By the way, I’m just an adopted Bosox fan, having spent a sizeable amount of my adulthood in San Francisco. I don’t have that hangover history about the Yankees and Bosox. So I’ll just bark and complain about the Giants when they play the Dodgers.

They’ve got a monster 1 game lead on last place Tampa, and are a game and a half behind my Orioles. Also, it’s June, and no longer too early in the season.

Ummm….Ramirez, Ortiz, Papelbon, and Okijima all put out some turds on that field. Not just that jonny-come-lately Lowell.

Also, it’s June, and it’s Sox-Yanks. Sawx smack talk in June is like throwing 58000 black cats onto the Fenway infield. Taunt ye not, the baseball gods especially when the yanks are involved, especially in June. Of all people, a Sawx fan should be aware of this.

If I were a Sox fan I’d think twice about opening my yap until we’d clinched, and no sooner.

For the love of God, can we PLEASE shut up about the freakin yanks and the sawx??!?! Big hint — nobody outside of those cities cares! You want a list of teams who are closer to 1st place than Noo Yawk? How about Baltimore, Toronto, Seattle, Philly, Chicago (Sox AND Cubs), Reds, Rockies and Pirates. Seriously, they’ve got the worst team money can buy, just go away already and leave the rest of us in peace.

@spidergirl24: You might not want to look now, but the Sox only lead the season series 7-5. And it was the Yankees, not the Sox, who blew a lead in 4 out of the six played in the Fens. But even with the Yanks coughing it up, aside from two fluky starts by Julian Tavarez, the Bombers would be winning the tiebreaker.

And the tiebreaker’s going to come into play, because once the Rocket and Baby Rocket come back, Boston will once again nervously look at the standings and wonder if it will be yet another replay of ‘78. Boston Massacre reprise last year, double-digit comeback this year.

I absolutely loathe Minute Maid Park(AKA the Juice Box). In any other park in the majors, Phat Albert would’ve had four big flies yesterday. Who the hell puts a friggin’ hill in the outfield? Oh yeah, the same team that has a shorter LF than most little league parks, that’s who.

I’m hoping that Gary will continue to hit better the crazier he becomes. Much like Pedro Cerrano, by the time the ALCS comes around, he will probably sacrifice a live chicken and then hit for the cycle. And if he wants a baby for the World Series, I’ll steal him a baby.

Yank fans are suddenly feeling their oats because they took two from the Bosox when Okajima and Papelbon, Youkilis and Lowell showed they were a little human? That win took required a number of system failures before the Bosox mean machine sputtered. Beckett walked a lead-in runner who eventually scored while Donnelly failed to cover the inning and was replaced by Okajima who the Bosox are rely on too much. Lowell and Youkilis failed to bring in the runner on third base, which would have given them a two run cushion. Still, the Bosox had a chance to win in the 9th but Lowell pooped out with a lame swing. The Yanks got on their knees and thanked God for that win. Let’s see what’s left once Chicago gets a piece of them.
