Since this is clearly the most interest we’ve ever had in the NBA summer league, we felt that a post was necessary. Here, we’ve got a priceless video of Rudy Gay’s nasty two-handed facial on Yi Jianlian. Got the feeling Rudy Gay could be in for a surprising year in Memphis.

Other summer stuff to fuel discussion, keeping in mind of course that summer ball means dick and Tim Duncan once got ‘killed’ by Greg Ostertag in his first summer league game:

- Kevin Durant is scoring, but he’s struggling from the field, and getting his shot rejected all over the place
- Greg Oden played a couple games, collected a lot of fouls, and got his tonsils removed and is done for the summer
- JJ Redick is feeling it for the first time since his final days at Duke (no need to mention Starks job vs. LSU)
- Monta Ellis had a wonderful rookie year in Golden State, but he better watch out for first-round pick Marco Belinelli, who might be awesome
