The Ladies Are the Real Losers: Belichick Out 500 Large
Uncategorized September 14th. 2007, 10:00am
Here is your list of winners and losers in the wake of NFL commissioner Paul Roger Goodell whacking Bill Belichick and the Patriots for spying on the Jets during last week’s season opener: Winners – the Jets, the league, all NFL fans outside of New England. Losers – Belichick, Belichick’s women he keeps on the side, Matt Estrella, Tom Brady, Belichick’s legacy, Mike Vick, San Diego Chargers.
Paul Goodell is a very popular man right now. Baseball needs someone like this to clean up their sport. Tough love, baby.

Isn’t Paul Goodell a lounge singer? lol I think you mean Roger.

You know, I don’t think the punishment was harsh enough. He doesn’t seem remorseful for doing it, only for getting caught. Given the opportunity, don’t you think Belichick would cheat again at this point?

It’s only fair that as punishment, they force all Boston fans outside of Mass. to move back to Boston. Why did they leave in the first place? Because Boston is a shit-hole.

Roger Goodell will drop the hammer on you, TBL, for calling him Paul.

Let’s say what the Pats did is worth, maybe, one win a year. Is $750,00 worth an extra win? I can’t imagine any coach/owner combo arguing that it isn’t.

I still think it merits a suspension. Peter King agrees with me. I don’t know how to feel about that.

I think the rest of the league wanted to see him sit out a few games, a la Wade Wilson–especially San Diego if making the playoffs comes down to needing a win against them.
I doubt the Pats care about this. The check is probably already cut and heading down I-95 as we speak.

I think that they should have had a real penalty now instead of in next year’s draft. Either wipe out the W against the Jets, or suspend Bill.
September 14th, 2007 at 10:28 AM
BS penalty, goddell proved that he is on a leash form the woeners with this ruling. Don’t the PATs have two first orund picks next year anyway?

It baffles me when people don’t think this is a big deal. Imagine Tom Brady getting the play piped into his helmet and the last thing he hears after the play call is ” Watch for a left corner blitz”.
Obviously takes away the element of surprise but he also would know who is going to be open before he even snaps the ball.
I don’t think anyone is naive enough to believe that is doesn’t happen around the league….what the league doesn’t want is the introduction of “outside agents”, i.e. video cameras to assist in the cheating.
Cheating with the human eye always has been legal and always will be.

I agree with you Spidey, and I honestly feel the only people that are not outraged by this is Pats fans. I personally would like to replay the Super Bowl between the Eagles, I know we would still lose but at least I would have another reason to get tanked and break everything around me.

Does anyone have a link to a story about how this camcorder guy was caught in the first quarter? Someone just mentioned this, but i haven’t been able to find it.

…Drew Bledsoe grits his teeth in anger, wondering why Parcells didn’t think of it first.

TBL – Here is something about the camera guy……..

On a Patriots message board I post on, someone found some good screenshots that indicate a possible Jets spy, also.

I thought I saw on ESPN the Pats lose a first round draft pick if they make the playoffs or they lose a second and third round pick if they don’t make the playoffs.

That article TBL linked to on Six Pack Sports was pretty stupid. The tape was taken long before the game got out of hand for the Jets, and like Mangini knew what would come of it anyway?
September 14th, 2007 at 11:32 AM
That punishment is a joke.
September 14th, 2007 at 11:32 AM
Yeah, the Six Pack article was pretty bad. So you are telling me that Belicheck wanted to be labeled a cheater so that noone else could cheat? He is gonna fall on his sword instead of just sending out some guys to video the other teams videoing? Nahhh
Hey, the guy wrote a dumb article to generate traffic to his website….looks like it worked.

Sure cheating the signals would help Brady in certain situations, but I still hope he lights up the Chargers this week and reaffirms to everyone that he’s still the man. Fuck Belichick for messing w/ Brady’s montanaesque like auora.
September 14th, 2007 at 2:07 PM
You know the punishment option Goodell should have laid down?
Cut the fine in half if Belichick wears a suit for every game this year… or at least something with sleeves fer chritssake.

This link says the tape was confiscated during the first half.

I don’t get the baseball reference.
I’m not seeing any Pac Mans, Bengals, Tank Johnsons, etc., in baseball. Has any big-name performer even failed a test for illegal substances since Selig put the news rules in effect (sans silly Raffy)?
Nah, I don’t think baseball needs a power hungry head of state, who wants all the attention on him and not the action on the field.
September 14th, 2007 at 2:41 PM
So what happens to the vacated pick (if the Pats make the playoffs)? Is there just one less pick in the first round then? Is that fair to a deserving draft pick who, in any other year, would have made first-round money?

WHO THE FUCK IS PAUL GOODELL
TELL THIS WRITE HE SUCKS BALLS
FIRE HIM IMMEDIATELY
