Did Keith Olbermann Take a Swipe at Stephen A. Smith?
Uncategorized October 16th. 2007, 12:14pm
When your career is crumbling, and you’re retaining lawyers to mount a TET offensive against he paper that helped shape your career, the last thing you need is … Keith Olbermann slinging mud your way. A reader has directed us to an obscure Mike & the Mad Dog message board item that somehow manages to blend some of the biggest loudmouths in TV today – Bill O’Reilly, Stephen A. Smith and Keith Olbermann – into a discussion. [Update: Lozo is the man. He found the evidence. If you look at this video, 90 seconds in, Olbermann floors Smith with a nasty right hook.]
Remember when O’Reilly was getting drilled for his idiotic remarks following a visit to a Harlem restaurant? He caught much flack for about a week, but apparently thanked Stephen A. Smith for offering him support (on the radio, we presume?) Olbermann, ever the pisser, opened his next show (according to this message board poster) with this rejoinder: “If you need the help of Stephen A. Smith, you are really scraping the bottom of the barrel …”
We’re not sure where the poster came up with Smith’s final line (radio?), but apparently, he said, “I am not a hard man to find. If he has a problem with me, come to me …”
Assuming this is all true – we don’t listen to or watch any of these three (except Olbermann on Sunday Night Football) – don’t you just love these ‘my-dick’s-bigger-than-yours’ contests?

I prefer when Madden and Al Michaels have their my dick is bigger then yours contest.
October 16th, 2007 at 12:26 PM
I think Madden and Michaels are past that. Now it’s more about the whose-dick-can-get-harder-without-Viagra contest.

Hasn’t Keith been getting trounced in the ratings since . . . well, forever?

Olby is busy enough running a nightly horror show on MSNBC and following that up with his AWFUL appearances on the “Longest Titled Pregame Show in the History of the Wonderful game We Love, Called Football in this Great Country of America”, or whatever they are calling it these days. He’s busy changing his stance on the Vick case every five minutes, throwing it over to Peter Green (er King) for his input, and basically making more of a complete jackass of himself on Sunday nights than he has managed to do in the firestorm of a career he has had in the last 20 years.

Actually, as of a month ago, MSNBC was playing up the fact Olbermann beat O’Reilly in the 25-54 demo.

Leno also beats Letterman and they both trounce The Daily Show, so the only thing ratings show is that most Americans are stupid.

hey, Big Al. Olby beat O’Reilly ONE NIGHT in ONE DEMO. O’Reilly has beaten him EVERY OTHER NIGHT in EVERY OTHER DEMO since Olbyloon started his jihad on Bush & Cheney. Will not continue to vary from post, but just wanted to provide real facts…..

I watch Leno…It helps me sleep

You can’t expect Olbermann to beat O’Reilly in the ratings.
Comedy and farces always get higher ratings than actual news programs.

O’Reilly is the biggest gasbag on TV bar none now with that being said, Olbermann will never come close to beating O’Reilly. Like him or hate him, O’Reilly actually does have a show that compels you to think and he also talks about events that actually matter to the people that watch his show. I like Olbermann, but too often he comes across as petulant and self-serving. We all know he hates O’Reilly, he needs to get off of that trip and start talking about things that really matter to his viewers and stop his constant ranting and raving against O’Reilly, Hannity and anything else about Fox News. The reason Letterman and Leno beat Stewart is because they’re on network TV and he’s on cable so you’re the stupid and misinformed one mldatx.

Okay. Let’s see if I can diffuse all this political tension…
USC Song Girls.
How’s that, TBL?

I guess that’s why Monday Night Football scores higher than Heroes or K-Ville. Thanks for being you, ChrisP.

Olbermann is a hack. All he ever does is take shots at O’Reilly. That comment was a shot more so at O’Reilly.

But we’re nowhere near Tet

Olberman is a far left wacko who doesn’t belong on a national platform.
