Sick of the HGH talk. And I don’t care if Paul Byrd took it or not. Neither should anyone else.

College football is much more interesting.

I think a Florida LSU rematch could be for a spot in the title game.

BC or VT is going down this weekend. USC and Oklahoma look vulnerable. West Virginia has some tough games left. Oregon as well.

If both teams can keep themselves clean that game could be worth A LOT. We know it will for LSU if they can go unbeaten the rest of the way. Glad to see the Gators back in the top ten where they belong. They are way too good to be ranked number 15.

It’s interesting that these name keep trickling out one-by-one, with somewhat interesting timing. Ankiel’s name comes up when he’s hitting the crap out of the ball, Byrd comes up when he’s having good postseason success. Certainly these names aren’t coming one-by-one from the sources to the reporters, considering they’re mostly all coming from a small handful of investigations. I know it’s all business, but something just doesn’t seem very “journalistic” when the reporters are sitting on names until a good opportunity to sell papers comes up.

And yes, Cal is a fraud and Oregon lost to them at home. So if a fraud beats you at home you shouldn’t be in the top 10, and thus making room for deserving schools, one of which resides in Lawrence, Kansas.

Before we have to be subjected about your whining about the extra point (and the promise of more on Monday), you please note this excerpt from the NCAA Rule Book, for you see, kicking the extra point was not an option, this was a rule change in 2005:

Opportunity to Score
ARTICLE 2. A try is an opportunity for either team to score one or two
points while the game clock is stopped and is a special interval in a game
which, for purposes of penalty enforcement only, includes both a down and
the â€œready” period that precedes it.
a. The ball shall be put in play by the team that scored a six-point
touchdown. If a touchdown is scored during a down in which time in the
fourth period expires, the try shall not be attempted unless the point(s)
would affect the outcome of the game.

It should be noted that this differs from the NFL, where kicking the PAT is indeed required. But not so at the college level.

So please shut up about it.

He used a credit card because purchasing HGH, in general, with a prescription isn’t and wasn’t illegal, nor was it against baseball rules until a week after his final purchase was made. If you go back in time, I’m sure plenty of MLB players purchased andro from GNC using a credit card, and this has since also been outlawed. In this specific case, obtaining a prescription through a dentist wasn’t the smartest thing to do.
