What Was Keith Olbermann Trying To Record in the World Series Media Room?
Uncategorized October 26th. 2007, 12:13pm
Not sure what he’s even doing in Boston, but a media mole tells us that Keith Olbermann showed up at the World Series last night and tried to “tape some sort of segment” in the press room. He was immediately shut down by Red Sox PR, our source says. “He was a bit of a prick about it, though he did leave immediately. It wasn’t nasty but Olbermann was a tad irritated. A bunch of writers were watching and thanked the PR assistant. I like Keith but Keith always thinks the rules don’t apply to him.”
We enjoy your NFL work on NBC Keith (immensely, in fact), but we’re not sure what there is to gain with a stunt like this. Somebody should get this into the hands of Bill O’Reilly and see if it starts another round of bitching between these two clowns.

Used to like KO until he became Jan Brady…

I’m pretty sure you’re the only one who enjoys his work on NBC.

Somebody needs to tell Keith that he’s the same guy as O’Reilly.
Both have worked for countless affliates and networks. Both have had problems with their bosses and coworkers. Both have slammed their former employers while trying to pass it off as being informative and honest.
Olbermann is O’Reilly. O’Reilly is Olbermann. They’re both hypocrites. So says this hypocrite.

I think Olberman knows he’s O’Reilly-ish and has fun with it. O’Reilly doesn’t know it and it shows. As for taping a bit in the PR room, it could have been his intros to each segment on last night’s Coundown saying that he wasn’t there tonight, was at the WS, etc. He ended up doing it in front of a screen with a big scene of Boston behind him.

Olbermann names TBL “Worst Person of the Week” in 5…4…3…2…

Seems like Olby is the one bitching all the time.

He was a bit of a prick about it
You mean the most smarmy, unbearable, “progressive” on TV was being a prick about something? You don’t say . . .
October 26th, 2007 at 1:26 PM
Please do not allow any sharp objects around me if I am in the same city as this idiot, or I might go Lee Harvey on him. He has gone (for me) from someone I thought was overrated w/ DP on Sportscenter to someone who is possibly the MOST ANNOYING PERSON IN THE WORRRRRRRRLLLLLDDDDDD!!!!! Oh wait, he does that schtick every night already.
He HAS to be removed from football coverage or I think Collingworth will strangle him.
October 26th, 2007 at 1:38 PM
Would you look at that pic…that is the most smarmiest picture I have ever seen in my life. What a jagoff.
Mr. Ivy League…
Would you like a white wine sprizter with your foie gras, Mr. Olbermannnnn? I bet he complains to the waitstaff about everything, and then the waitstaff spits in his food.
You think he gives any of his salary to charity? At least O’Reilly tries to help people, even if it is in a vainglorious fashion. This guy is the embodiment of the effete liberal douche.
October 26th, 2007 at 1:39 PM
Did Olberman express some progressive, liberal outrage over this injustice?
October 26th, 2007 at 1:44 PM
Olberman is far more mean-spirited than O’Reilly. Which reflects in his lousy ratings.
October 26th, 2007 at 1:55 PM
That Alec Baldwin clip is FUNNY AS HELL
I think someone made reference to it in the World Series post
October 26th, 2007 at 2:20 PM
So if you attend an Ivy League school you’re automatically a jagoff, then? Kinda harsh, don’t you think?
Olbermann probably gives money to charity. Most people with lots of money do, unless of course they’re a Dickens or Simpsons character.
I don’t know that Olbermann is more mean spirited than O’Reilly. Here’s the difference: Olbermann berates people he doesn’t like. O’Reilly berates people he doesn’t like to their face.

Don’t worry, Iggy. Cornell doesn’t really count as an Ivy League school.
October 26th, 2007 at 2:38 PM
Gee, I’ve never heard that one before. I have a right mind to go all hotel school on your ass. You can’t handle my knowledge in wines and how to fold up the end of the toilet paper nicely.
October 26th, 2007 at 2:40 PM
Iggy – Good stuff. You’re right up there with the Nard Dog as my favorite Red Farmers, or whatever the hell a Cornellian is.
October 26th, 2007 at 3:01 PM
What is a prick? Keith Olbermann of course. Thinks he is smarter than you. Thinks he knows what’s best for you. Knows he is certainly better looking than you. Knows he is probably richer than you.
What is the worse part about a prick? There is so few of them. I mean it. You see, pricks absorb ten times the amount of shit that toilet paper can. Take one prick and you could wipe the asses of every person in Boston for a year, and Boston is the shit capital of the world.
Keith likes to be needed, thus he was at Fenway Park last night soaking in all that World Series shit…… That Keith, he’s a prick’s prick.

“Don’t worry, Iggy. Cornell doesn’t really count as an Ivy League school.”
My late grandfather(who was a banker), my two uncles(one of whom was the Comptroller at Cornell), and two of my cousins, all Cornell grads, would wholeheartedly disagree with that assertion.

The only alumni more irritating and pompous than Ivy League jagoffs are Notre Dame alumni.
Al Gore gave 300 dollars to charity in the year 1997.
300 bucks.
October 26th, 2007 at 3:15 PM
Olbermann pwns O’Reilly. I can’t believe it’s even a debate.
October 26th, 2007 at 3:22 PM
But Al Gore won the Peace Prize! (And invented the Internet!)

Olbermann is an irritating prick, and the reason God invented the mute button on the remote!

Someone’s project supervisor went to Princeton.

Not really, although Princeton types should be included in there somewhere.
Big Ten product here.

O’Reilly’s phone sex tape was hillarious. Ya’ll should listen. It blows that one guy’s from Entertainment Tonight out of the water.
October 26th, 2007 at 4:35 PM
I was going to say… there was a time (I was about 14) when I thought Olbermann was hilarious. I tolerated him when he was on the radio with DP, and haven’t really caught him on MSNBC much. But I have seen him several times on NBC during the football games, and he’s insufferable. I keep wondering, is he trying to be funny? It’s sort of like those “Bee Movie” things that run on NBC during Thursday nights. Talk about losing your fastball… What he hell is up with Jerry Seinfeld?

Good to be back and finally logged in again. I was working for weeks trying to remember my username. Better not log out, again…
Anyway, I was going to say that the Red Sox PR people are the worst people of the day.
