An astute reader points us in the general direction of Matt Cassel’s highly comical wikipedia page. Although you may not have heard of Cassel – because he never started a college football game at USC – he is the Patriots backup QB. Last week, he was famously inserted into New England’s blowout of Miami, but after throwing a pick-six, he was yanked from the game and Brady was re-inserted. While Cassel’s wiki is full of laughs, whoever altered it saved the best for last: “Cassel is the second best quarterback in the history of the NFL, behind Tom Brady. But no one will ever know because he will never play. USC would have beat Texas if Cassel was played.” Must be nice to have a mom capable of tinkering with wikipedia. If we knew how to do a screengrab, we would. But we don’t.
