Got some good submission ideas, folks. Thanks. Nothing beat this photo, courtesy of Wizznutt.

Los Angeles Lakers 134, Indiana 114: Kobe had 34 and seven other players scored in double figures as the surprising Lakers improved to 7-3. And they just traded Brian Cook and Maurice Evans for Trevor Ariza which isn’t higway robbery, but it’s close. Indiana is 4-7, and we smell 31 wins.

Milwaukee 111, Cleveland 107: Michael Redd and LeBron each had 34, but the sweet-shooting lefty has a much better supporting cast. LeBron’s losing wingmen by the day: Donyell Marshall is out two months, Larry Hughes remains sidelined, and Anderson Varejao still has no contract.

Toronto 99, Dallas 105: The Raptors choked away a 24-point lead and the Mavs improved to 8-2. Unrelated – can anyone believe Maceo Baston is still in the NBA? He was part of that weak class at Michigan that was supposed to be the ‘next’ Fab 5, but they never won squat. To us, he always seemed uninspired. He rarely plays in Toronto, but he’s collecting a check.

Chicago 91, Denver 112: Deng didn’t play again, but is that really as excuse for another night of no defense and no imagination on offense? Bulls Rook Joakim Noah had 16 points in only 21 minutes. Marcus Camby had 12-20 and five blocks.

Phoenix 100, Sacramento 98: Amare had 26-13 and Steve Nash had 14-12 as the Suns overcame Ron Artest’s 33 points on the road. Everyone’s talking about Boston, but our Championship pick, Phoenix, is 9-2.
