We took a break last week with the holiday and introduced another mid-week bucket of fun – the email bag – but the Commenter post returns this week with a West Coast tipster who comments under the name Roach. We’ve got our next two commenters lined up, but if you’re interested in gabbing in 250 words or less about anything you want, just drop us an email.

So this is what the basement looks like?

Where is the Super Nintendo? Where is the half-eaten sandwich with the crusts cut off? Where are the soiled tube socks?

That’s not what I see. I see an insightful, educated, and entertaining culture that is here to stay.

Not only are blogs here to stay, they have become an essential part of the sporting landscape. Where else could we talk about which chubby-armed pole trick A-Fraud is taxing? Or how overrated Erin Andrews is (I live in California where better looking chicks make my lattes). Where else could I say that I am repulsed, yet strangely intrigued at the thought of a blumpkin? Seriously, how else would we have finally figured out that Boston sports fans are the most annoying people on earth. Massholes indeed.

My friends answer me this: Where else can a collective group of people take the establishment to task? I mean, who else is gonna give ESPN a well deserved bitch slap to the mouth?

(If only they would just listen to us.)

The Blogosphere is where IT’s at. If you aren’t on board now you better hurry because well, you know, it’s like showing up too late to the party.

You’ll be “that guy” (or gal) who’ll be clogging up my inbox with pictures of Britney’s kitten and “Little Superstar” six months from now.

It is time to embrace the blog people. Besides, show me a better way to kill time at work.
