MLB Denying Early Steroid ‘Lists’
Baseball, Drugs, Mitchell Report December 13th. 2007, 12:21pm
With inside two hours to go until George Mitchell reveals just who is on The List, uncertainty reigns. Who is on the list? Are the lists that are floating (we were too timid to post it, but you can find it on our comments section here) around legit? Baseball officials are denying that it is accurate. We just saw Bob Ley break in on ESPN to say that they aren’t going to react to the veracity of the list, which we’re sure was his decision, and not Kirk Herbstreit’s. Here’s the thing about that list – who really surprises you on it? Please don’t say you’re shocked to see Albert Pujols on it … he shared the same trainer as Jason Grimsley, remember? No David Ortiz. Interesting.

I’m still waiting for the list that has Jason Tyner’s name, then I know it’s real.

What if David Eckstein’s scrappiness was steroid-aided? Will the league recover from such a foundation rocking?

Can people stop making the David Eckstein joke. Its funny, but I have heard it about 3million times.
December 13th, 2007 at 1:03 pm
i fully expect eckstein to be outed.

Eckstein isnt on the list. I say i am surprised to see Pujols on it, only because i didnt WANT him to be on it.
Luckily, my boy Ryan Howard is NOT on the list. WHEW.

its obvious david ortiz isnt on them. you look at his stats last season and they are just as good as the previous ones

MSNBC has now removed the list from its website. Will I, as a Cards fan, be surprised if Pujols is actually on the list? No. Will I be disappointed? Yes, but hey; that’s the nature of the game.

No Joey Belle? So we’re just dismissing him as a corked bat using, mercedes driving over kids, spitting in the stands lunetic?
December 13th, 2007 at 1:34 pm
No Joey, but maybe Albert will be outed.

Sorry, didn’t mean to go with the obvious joke (Eckstein, Denny Hocking, Jason Tyner)…
What about Nick Punto? No…no…same joke. Damn it!
December 13th, 2007 at 1:53 pm

Both those dudes were on the juice!
If you couldn’t get any player out 2 of 5 times in Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball on SNES, then they were on the juice.
