Golden State 87, Detroit 109: We’d much rather talk about the Warriors thrilling comeback win over the Lakers Friday, which was the best game we’ve seen this season. This loss in Detroit was simply an annihilation, and there’s really nothing to say. Prince went for 23, McDyess had a double-double, and the Warriors turned it over 23 times.

Boston 90, Toronto 77: They’re now 2-0 without Ray Allen, and a pretty astonishing 20-2 overall. We predicted 50-55 wins and a top three seed in the East; right now, the more likely scenario is 60 wins and no doubt the No. 1 seed. Bosh had 17-13 for the Raptors, who are 14-11; Pierce led the Celtics with 18.

Portland 116, Denver 105: Not to alarm anyone, but the Blazers have peeled off seven in a row, including road wins over Utah and Denver. Not bad, especially when you consider the Blazers are without LaMarcus Aldridge, who leads them in scoring and rebounding. Brandon Roy took 27 shots to score 26 points, and Channing Frye added 20 points and 11 rebounds. After five seasons, Travis Outlaw is finally getting this pro thing; he’s scored double figures eight games in a row. Love his game.

Los Angeles Clippers 92, Los Angeles Lakers 113: Corey Maggette’s 21-point third quarter wasn’t enough, as fourth-quarter defensive breakdowns led the Lakers to victory. Man that Laker bench is tough – 36 points and a flurry of three’s. The dreamy center matchup: Caveman had 18-16-4; Bynum had 14-9-6. Kobe had 32.

Not game-related, but cool nonetheless: Utah coach Jerry Sloan cursed on TV, and he’s blaming ESPN, because he said they should have cropped it out. Jerry Sloan is not a man you want mad at you. Ask John Amaechi.
