The NFL Makes Crazy People Kill
Courts, Legal, NFL, Television January 14th. 2008, 2:22pm
Seems that way. “A Lakeland bar owner who hit a customer in the head with a beer bottle during an argument about the Green Bay Packers-Seattle Seahawks playoff football game was found beaten to death at his home early Sunday, according to sheriff’s investigators.”
Man, what are people going to do when the Super Bowl pregame hits the airwaves, and the nation is force-fed American Idol?

crazy/scary…my brother goes to school at Lakeland College. I’m going to tell him to stay away from Par 33 and Packers fans in general.

Pregame show? Who the fuck watches the pregame show? You should be in the kitchen making Chili or out getting more beer during this time.

Guns don’t kill people. Green Bay fans kill people.

bigpappawes: Does your bro go to Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wis.? Because this incident took place in Lakeland, Florida. And the article didn’t say what the actual argument was about or whether the alleged killers were Packers fans or Seahawks fans, unless I missed something…

Did anyone catch the fact that Fox is also going to combine their political coverage with their sports coverage of the Super Bowl.
Is there a worse idea on the planet than this. Sports is great because it crosses political barriers (well except the Olympics). So they decide to add Fox News to it (and regardless of your political affiliation, there’s no denying that Fox News is the most biased major news carrier out there, followed by MSNBC).
Personally I’d rather they add Make the Season Premier of American Idol the halftime show before combining Politics and the Super Bowl.

No harm, no foul…By the way, the guy who was killed was a Packers fan, and the bar was painted Green and Gold.
Oaks was a Packers fan and painted the bar’s exterior in green and gold, according to the Tampa Tribune.
“He was wearing his Packer jersey” on Saturday, Oaks’ wife, Stephanie, told the Tampa newspaper.
Still, scary stuff.
