Ghost of Owen Hart puts Beer Vendor in Ghost Sharpshooter
WWE February 16th. 2008, 2:30pm
The Kansas City Star had a story on Valentine’s Day about the possibility that the ghost of the late Owen Hart is hanging out in the Kemper Arena Rafters. It was May 23rd 1999 when Hart fell to his death after a bungee stunt went horribly wrong.
Nearly 9 years later, the Blue Blazer has reportedly been spotted:
Employees (at Kemper Arena) have claimed to have seen (Hart) in the rafters wearing the costume he was wearing for his gimmick,†the newspaper wrote, “as well as the cable before he began the descent. There have also been reports of flickering lights and other power sources that seem to go on and off in some areas of the arena.€
You’d have to wonder why Ghost Owen would choose to haunt Kemper, when very few people go there anymore. Aside from 1 Jayhawk game per year, I can’t imagine the place gets filled other than the occasional Circus or Sesame Street Live performance.
Interestingly, this story came out on the same week that the WWE announced Monday Night Raw will take place at Kemper Arena on May 19th. Also interesting is the fact that there are actually ghost hunting forums for people to discuss this.
I’ll bet the house the ghost of Owen Hart is great friends with Darren Daulton.
Is Kemper haunted by the ghost of Owen Hart? [Kansas City Star]

the KU game was at Sprint Center this year, as was the American Royal.
Owen has definitely got the place to himself.

It’s probably the only way to get Hannah Montana tickets. The pre-teen girls love themselves the Hannah Montana

Speaking as somebody who attends 40+ events per year at Mellon Arena, sometimes an old barn is just an old barn.
Unless the Igloo has been haunted by the ghost of Moses Guthrie all this time…

No ball games at Kemper anymore. Just the American Royal and tractor pulls. That’s probably why Owen is pissed.
