The Kansas City Star had a story on Valentine’s Day about the possibility that the ghost of the late Owen Hart is hanging out in the Kemper Arena Rafters.  It was May 23rd 1999 when Hart fell to his death after a bungee stunt went horribly wrong.

Nearly 9 years later, the Blue Blazer has reportedly been spotted:

Employees (at Kemper Arena) have claimed to have seen (Hart) in the rafters wearing the costume he was wearing for his gimmick,” the newspaper wrote, “as well as the cable before he began the descent. There have also been reports of flickering lights and other power sources that seem to go on and off in some areas of the arena.€

You’d have to wonder why Ghost Owen would choose to haunt Kemper, when very few people go there anymore.  Aside from 1 Jayhawk game per year, I can’t imagine the place gets filled other than the occasional Circus or Sesame Street Live performance.

Interestingly, this story came out on the same week that the WWE announced Monday Night Raw will take place at Kemper Arena on May 19th.  Also interesting is the fact that there are actually ghost hunting forums for people to discuss this.

I’ll bet the house the ghost of Owen Hart is great friends with Darren Daulton.
