By the way, Dick Vitale screamed at everybody who was listening that John Brady was screwed over by LSU and LSU was classless for firing him now (2 days after he threw Les Miles under the bus, by the way). But The General, Robert Montgomery Knight can do anything he wants, including screwing over the players that he preached loyalty and discipline to.

412 – the cowherd thing was pretty overblown. to recap: for over the first year of the blog, we did it on the cheap because it was a hobby. so we had a rinky dink server in romania where we shared space. it could handle some hits, but not a sudden surge.

so when he said it, a surge of people flooded the site, and knocked us off line. it’s really no different than when we would get a link from SI or Yahoo or whatever. Once, bill simmons mentioned us in a chat, we had a shitload of readers, and the site went offline for a minute.

but this one with Cowherd was the last straw … once the server blew up, the romanians had had enough, so we needed to find a new spot.
