Slow Day, Oscar Night
College Football, Movies, NFL February 24th. 2008, 8:24pm
Is it just me or was it a bit slow around here today? Did I not do enough golf posts? Do you guys need more golf posts next time? OK, I’ll make a note.
One thing I should probably mention in case anyone missed it: There are concerns about LSU defensive lineman Glenn Dorsey’s leg. He suffered a fractured tibia during the 2006 season. Now teams are worried about his health.
I was shocked because when I originally saw the headline, “Serious concerns about top prospect Dorsey’s knee” I couldn’t help but wonder why anyone still cared about Ken Dorsey. Turns out it was a totally different player.
Anyway, the Oscars are this evening and that means a whole new batch of pictures of all our favorite actresses in the coming days. I don’t know if anything can beat the Scarlett Johansson – Natalie Portman pairing, but we’ll keep our fingers crossed.
I assume most of America will be watching the Oscars tonight, but if you aren’t, I’ll assume you’re watching The Wire. It’s the third-to-last episode of the entire series. I’m currently weeping at the thought of life after The Wire. It won’t be quite as awesome.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by this weekend. Be safe and I’ll see you in the comments in the morning. Honest to blog!
