Stewart Cink Competes Against Tiger Woods, Himself
Golf February 24th. 2008, 2:01pm
Unsurprisingly, Tiger Woods is yet again bearing down on another tournament victory. As I write this Woods up 4-holes through 17 18.
This week the setting is the WGC Accenture Match Play Championship in Arizona. Today’s designated victim is Stewart Cink.
If Cink can somehow come back against the G.O.A.T. for the win he’ll be attributing it to…his psychiatrist?
Cink has spoken openly about how Waddington goes beyond sports psychologist work and explores deep-seeded personal issues. Cink says getting at the root of his issues made him a more confident, healthier person and player.
It’s good to see that Cink was able to overcome the “yips.” I think my brother has them, but he’s not a good enough golfer that you can tell. Maybe I’ll have to get him Dr. Waddington’s phone number.
