Stop what you are doing right now and watch this video. It is called the Baseball Boogie, and it features members of the 1986 Los Angeles Dodgers (Mariano Duncan, Rick Honeycutt, Fernando Valenzuela, Pedro Guerrero, etc) singing and dancing. It’s a travesty that this video is unable to be embedded; otherwise, we’re sure this would be larger than the Super Bowl Shuffle. The level of production here, considering it was filmed in 1986, is incredible. From the satin jackets to the douchy dance moves, it is nothing short of fantastic.

Orel Hershiser’s antics are particularly priceless. We must have made 15 attempts to get screen-grabs of his mannerisms, but we were unsuccessful. He makes no fewer than five “o” faces and flips his hands around as if he were part of a Broadway production. His chicken legs are in perpetual motion, too. The only question we have is why Hershiser wasn’t considered for the final dance scene in “Footloose.”

The reader who sent us this link last night saw it first on Tony Jackson’s Dodgers blog. In a word – awesome.
