Fun with a Pat Forde Blind Item

ESPN’s Pat Forde, probably one of the most underrated reads over at ESPN, had a delicious blind item in his most recent column. It has left us stumped. Help is necessary.
“Spies tell The Minutes that a Big East coach who shall remain nameless (38) recently got into a halftime argument with one of his assistants in a hallway outside the locker room. According to a source, it escalated to the point where punches were thrown.”
The logical guess, even with scant evidence, has to be WVU’s Bob Huggins. The Mountaineers were getting destroyed at halftime recently, down 45-21 at Villanova. Also, Forde used to write for the Louisville Courier-Journal, and so perhaps the Louisville Cardinals are involved in this mess. What about when Pitino had to change suits at halftime of the Georgetown game a few weeks ago? He came up with two lame excuses after the fact, but perhaps something got torn in the scuffle? It was a televised game, so presumably 100 ESPN employees were on the scene that night. Maybe one of them had Forde sit on it for awhile so it wouldn’t be obvious where it came from?
