Bill Cowher’s House For Sale – Commence Rumors!

As good as it gets: When bloggers get all sleuthy! That’s what LaschOut, a Penn State website did earlier this week when it cobbled together some interesting ingredients to create a heaping bowl of speculation. Bloggers love that! The recipe:
* Pinch of a recent Cowher sighting in Happy Valley with PSU AD Tim Curley
* A dash of Cowher’s North Carolina house having a For Sale sign in the frontyard
Pittsburgh fans, momentarily panicked over all of this, breathed a sigh of relief when the Post-Gazette reported today that Cowher’s moving alright … two miles away. The PSU visit? Nothing yet.

As a PSUer I think this would be fantastic. I realize that some Pro coaches have failed to translate well to college (Waanstadt, Ross), I would be more than willing to have the Chin take over.
I think this would be a great move for Cowher, the college game is so much less stressful, and he would still be doing what he loves. The State College media is a bunch of spineless puppies compared to NFL writers.

Doesn’t Cowher have some girls that are nearing college age? Perhaps some are good enough to play major school sports? I don’t know, but it’s another theory as to the visit to PSU.

cowher was rumored to take the nc state gig (he lives in the same town and is an alumnus) last year and he said he had no interest in coaching college football.
besides, tom bradley will be paterno’s successor, if joepa ever dies.

I think the best place for Cowher to end up would be Cincinnati. Not because it’s the best situation but because it would completely freak out Steelers fans (ok Cleveland would do so more, but Crennel’s not going anywhere for a few years).
I have nothing against Steelers fans, but I am a big fan of comedy, and that would be really funny.

Even if the visit were about his daughter, why would he be talking to the AD? The AD doesn’t get involved in womens BBall recruiting. The AD is a spineless moron who doesn’t have the testicles to get rid of Joe or the ability to hire even a halfway decent basketball coach.

His house is for sale because he is building one next to a golf course about 3 miles away.
He hit Happy Valley with his daughter to visit the campus.

I, for one, get a kick out of Joe Pa and Bowden hanging on well past their due dates in order to outlast the other and finish #1 in wins. Ohh that’s right, they don’t care about that record.
