Call us old-fashioned, but we love it when schools are fighting over a recruit – especially when the battle wages a month after the recruit’s already been signed. Darrell Scott, a pretty incredible talent from California, eschewed Pac-10 powers USC and UCLA and his selection came down to Big 12 powers Colorado (last time ending the season ranked: 2002) and Texas. In February, he selected the Buffaloes.

Longhorns fans were predictably pissed (especially with Jamaal Charles going to the NFL), and feeling other factors played a part in Scott’s decision, sounded off en masse. And some of the evidence is more than circumstantial. The Austin Sports Report has compiled it all into a tidy, easy read, and we can’t wait for Buffs’ coach Dan Hawkins to catch wind of this and scream: “IT’S DIVISION I FOOTBALL! IT’S THE BIG 12!”

Wondering about Terrelle Pryor? He’s supposedly considering Memphis, in hopes of playing football and hoops. Or not.
