College Basketball March 23rd. 2008, 6:58pm
The 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament is complete. North Carolina, Louisville, Davidson, Tennessee, Western Kentucky, Texas, Villanova and Memphis advanced today leaving us with the following basketball lineup come Thursday and Friday.
Thursday: in the West bracket, West Virginia meets Xavier and Western Kentucky meets UCLA thereafter. In the East, Washington State meets North Carolina and Louiville meets Tennessee as the 2nd contest of the East doubleheader.
Friday: In the Midwest, Davidson battles Wisconsin and Villanova meets Kansas in the 2nd game. In the South, Standford and Texas do battle followed by Memphis and Michigan State.
Essentially, the East and South brackets are pretty normal, while the Midwest and West brackets resembles a car wreck for most of us. Tis the beauty of the madness.
Hey, did you know CSI: Miami returns with an all new episode tomorrow night? No, it’s true; I swear. Honest.
You’re a douche, Caruso.

He’s a worse actor than Vinnie Chase. Every time he speaks, his hands are either on his hips or holding his sunglasses. Stupid Ginger.

haha man that video is HILARIOUS…what a ginger indeed

CSI: Miami is the best awful show in the history of television

any word yet on what time those thursday/friday games will be on at? primetime, or during the day?
March 23rd, 2008 at 7:24 pm
The Regional Semis are always primetime. No games during the day.

Whenever I hear ‘New Episode of CSI’ it makes me immediately question where my DVD of ‘Half Baked’ is.

Also in that category is Saved by the Bell, and Full House.

I think as is mandated by media law Wisconsin is now the #1 team most likely to be upset next weekend
Now I know trends don’t mean a whole lot (save for Pitt always flaming out in the tournament) but the Badgers are 10-1 as the higher seed under Bo Ryan but sure enough on Saturday both Digger Phelps and Seth Davis were picking a shitty Kansas State team to win
March 23rd, 2008 at 8:16 pm
Carolina won again, but of course they did it while playing no defense. (heavy sarcasm) Now who was that who wanted wazzu and unc???
March 23rd, 2008 at 8:17 pm
I’m feeling better about my picking Carolina to win the national championship even though I’m annoyed by all things ACC
March 23rd, 2008 at 8:20 pm
well at least your down to only one acc team left. although all of the bias acc announcers will now favor unc naturally.

UNC/Louisville is going to be fantastic.

I remember that CSI: Miami had a “tsunami” episode (before the real one happened) and like one person died. And that person turned out to be murdered. The acting is high-school drama class bad, the stories are beyond preposterous, but the colors if you own a high-definition set are oh so pretty.
The Pac 10 were the big winners over the weekend. The Big 10 and Big 12 held serve for the most part. The Big East looks like winners on paper until you realize that they lost Georgetown, UConn, Pitt, and Notre Dame. But when you have a 28 team conference, you’re bound to get a few teams through.

I just flipped to the women’s tourney on ESPN2 (the HORROR), and their crawl said that they’re keeping the local feed for the game you’re supposed to get on ESPN2, but ESPN2-HD will be switching to the most compelling game. I give ESPN a lot of shit, but that’s a damn good idea.
March 23rd, 2008 at 8:49 pm
Jay, was that the episode where the person died in the bank vault? They knew the tsunami was coming. knew that the bank would evacuate and the alarms would be turned off somehow. one bank robber murdered another. that was a good episode.

Is everyone prepared for U of L in the Final Four? I hope so.
On the other hand, wonder why we need a titanic match like Tenn/UofL so early in the tourney…..
March 23rd, 2008 at 10:22 pm
I totally, completely missed two games today (and parts of others due to Easter obligations) – Texas and Louisville. No idea what happened in those, looking to read about them tonight.
But yes, Louisville -2 against Tenn is a surprise. Tenn has looked awful in two games, narrowly winning both.

Gonzo- indeed it was. I’ve said all along that I’ve seen better acting in porn videos(Ginger Lynn was robbed of an Oscar nomination in ‘85, IMO).
March 23rd, 2008 at 11:13 pm
Bruce, please look up the name Ginger Lynn Allen on imdb.com – Her films list cracks me up. especially number 1.
Wait, the is a sports site… is watching porn a sport?
March 23rd, 2008 at 11:46 pm
Gonzo, funny stuff. I like how she has appeared in like 400 pornos.
And Young Guns II (apparently).
As an aside, I didn’t know there was a big market for 45-year-old porn stars. You learn something new every day.

“10 Turnovers now for Kansas State. The Badgers have a feel for the heat … with Mondays #1 drama as it returns with an all new episode. CSI: Miami. Monday at 10/9c. Only on CBS.” – Kevin Harlan
March 24th, 2008 at 12:01 am
Unreliable, did Kevin Harlan really say that?
March 24th, 2008 at 12:37 am
Gonzo- That is funny. I had forgotten(and rightly so) that she had done an episode of “Silk Stalkings”. Talk about another example of bad acting(although I had a huge crush on Mitzi Kapture)…. Just another example of the fine writing skills of Stephen J. Cannell.
And Patrick- if Harlan didn’t say it, I’m sure Jim Nantz worked it in somehow. Afterall, CBS is America’s most watched network…
March 24th, 2008 at 9:01 am
Agreed on the HD, Jay. It’s probably the best HD show on TV, which is why I watch. And, yes, Caruso is a ginger.
March 24th, 2008 at 2:30 pm
@Patrick
Yes.
