Nice shoes…

TBL — I’ve now read two postings over at Hell Yes Guy, and I’m quite astonished that both rank on my all-time list of Most Asinine Blog Postings I’ve Ever Read. Can’t you post another picture of a scantily clad woman instead?
March 28th, 2008 at 8:21 AM
Nice stems week at TBL.
March 28th, 2008 at 8:33 AM
i want to see that girl fight a real person. i’m not impressed by someone throwing punches at their trainer, even if those punches could knock a brick wall down. If this girl started pumping iron with TBL, then i truly think she could be a force.

First a wombat – now big foot. Nessy had better lawyer up.

i absolutely love the shambles Michigan’s program is in right now. they’ll be good, if not great, again in two years, but for right now, it’s great to see them suffer and to hear the optimism coming from their camp…theyre going to be this year’s Notre Dame.
March 28th, 2008 at 8:41 AM
I’m not a blogger, but I too dislike college hoops.
March 28th, 2008 at 8:42 AM
I hope Notre Dame is this year’s Notre Dame – I get a little happier every Saturday they lose.
March 28th, 2008 at 8:49 AM
hey, maybe this is the year PSU beats UM. just kidding, it definintely is.
college hoops are meh, but last night’s games were pretty fun to watch.
March 28th, 2008 at 8:51 AM
Simmons is up 13 votes right now? Did Irish kill himself?
March 28th, 2008 at 8:52 AM
I’m kinda indifferent on college hoops. I follow my team (UGA), and the SEC to an extent, and that’s about it. Just too many one-and-done guys that I can’t keep up with.
March 28th, 2008 at 8:52 AM
TBL, have you read “Bringing Down the House”? I did, and based on the book, there is no reason to change the ethnicity of the characters. I am a white male, and if the lead were Asian-American, I wouldn’t be turned off from seeing it. Just the opposite, since the person it’s based on is Asian-American, that’s what I expect to see in the movie. I am continually stunned by the logic of Hollywood.

Who is that tall tan glass of water up there?
March 28th, 2008 at 8:57 AM
Looks as though the almighty USD took down the almighty SVP.

I think voting stays open until 10 am or so …
Gonzo – Joking, right?
March 28th, 2008 at 9:07 AM

sweet merciful buddah im gonna slap someone.
March 28th, 2008 at 9:12 AM
I’m with Gonzo. I’m not sure who it is, but the tennis part makes me believe she is AK. Doesn’t look like her at all. Her face is botoxed to Siberia. Seriously, she actually looks like a typical Russian woman with that large chin. Bill Cower is jealous. Good lord, can we shut the book on the AK years and say they were fun, but obviously they are now over?

Matthew Berry. Conning ESPN out of money since 2007. What a lucky assclown. Of course, that luck doesn’t extend to his picks/projections in fantasy sports. Just that he gets paid to make up shit.

The Bomani Jones piece is interesting and well done and completely off base about hockey. On ice fighting is, and probably always will be, an accepted part of the game. It is the only sport of the 4 that did not originate in this country and fighting has been ingrained in the game for as long as the game’s been played.
While all of the sports have had a history of on-field violence (pro football in the early days of the league, turn of the 20th century baseball), tacit acceptance of fighting only exists in hockey.
So the subtle differences between any hockey fight and say, the FIU-Miami brawl, speak really to the differences between the history and culture of the two sports more than they do about race.

That’s Anna Kournikova fellas. Tennis?
March 28th, 2008 at 9:20 AM
johndewar doesn’t care about black people.
March 28th, 2008 at 9:22 AM
Nick, instead of compiling a list of people who don’t care about black people, why don’t you tell us who does care about black people.
March 28th, 2008 at 9:23 AM
Nick – I blame hip-hop culture.
March 28th, 2008 at 9:26 AM
No, I wasn’t joking. I had to take 3 or 4 good looks to guess Anna K. Man, she is looking GOOD these days.
March 28th, 2008 at 9:28 AM
I care greatly about black people.

Boren left the team Monday. On Wednesday he released a statement saying in part: “Michigan football was a family, built on mutual respect and support for each other from (former) Coach (Lloyd) Carr on down. We knew it took the entire family, a team effort, and we all worked together.
“I have great trouble accepting that those family values have eroded in just a few months. … That I am unable to perform under these circumstances at the level I expect of myself, and my teammates and Michigan fans deserve, is why I have made the decision to leave.€
You mean that a guy who one year ago said he was staying at his home state alma mater and then left them high and dry would be soft on “family values?” Inconceivable. But hey, the West Virginia fans are the only crazy people in this divorce, and he was justified, according to what I have read.
As for Matthew Berry, if he was in charge of the ESPN fantasy “baseball projections” I saw, he is definitely steling money. I think every projection I saw for every baseball player had the player hitting five points lower, but with one more home run and two more RBIs. Crack research there, buddy.

Pridicting baseball stats for an entire season is tougher than picking an NCAA bracket pool.
March 28th, 2008 at 9:40 AM
@CRM: Since when is a wombat a mythical creature like Nessie or Big Foot? Otherwise, funny.
March 28th, 2008 at 9:42 AM
So, Bruce Pearl seems pretty cool…
March 28th, 2008 at 9:47 AM
Jay…his dad, who played under Bo Shembechler, came out and said he’d prefer to pay for his son to go to OSU rather than play for free at UM, there’s something a little more wrong. lifelong Wolverines don’t say that typically.
March 28th, 2008 at 9:55 AM
RichRod is a dbag of the first order. UM is finding this out.
March 28th, 2008 at 9:59 AM
Bruce Pearl, master of the reacharound boob grab.
March 28th, 2008 at 10:12 AM
I gotta admit, I loved the Page 2 piece on Joe Kennedy.
March 28th, 2008 at 10:19 AM
and she looks awesome in the new k-swiss commerc.
March 28th, 2008 at 10:24 AM
The link to the ‘One Guy Who Doesn’t Like College basketball’…worst link ever on TBL.
March 28th, 2008 at 10:47 AM
So LoDuca can’t catch the ceremonial first pitch because he was mentioned in the Mitchell report but he can play in the game even though he was mentioned in the Mitchell report? My head is going to explode in five, four, three, two…..
March 28th, 2008 at 1:34 PM
Gonzo? You serious? First you don’t know AK, then you make a statement saying predicting baseball stats is harder than the NCAA bracket. False, anyone can pretty much predict what the majority of baseball players are gonna do. Arod gonna have around 50 dingers, 130 rbis, 315 avg, Jeter around 15 hrs, 90 rbis and 330 avg and so on. Remember those numbers, they will be there in September.
