TBL saying something good about Dwight Howard… im shocked. A stand alone beast, i like that.

Memphis all the way. they are out to prove something right now. With the added experience of playing in the Alamo dome last year(elite 8), they should come out blazing.

Love is going to own Dorsey. I like Memphis and all, but if we are choosing between the two, its Kevin Love. He is a double double machine and i like that out of big men. This kid is the greatest outlet passer since Wes Unseld.

If you think Dorsey is going to dominate Love, you don’t know anything about either of these players and are simply judging the books by their respective covers. I still get the love affair with Dorsey. I guess if anyone has a impressive physique and puts up pedestrian numbers they will be held in high regard. On the other hand, Love is a freshman and completely dominated both the very talented Pac-10 and the entire NCAA tourney thus far. Give me a break.

Have to agree with Goose. I really like Love as an ideal 4, complementing a good big man. Don’t think he’s a stand-alone beast inside, like Dwight Howard or anything, but i think he can be a solid 12-10 guy, contributing defense and passing.

Double bullshit. Love is 6′10″, strong as an ox, has considerable basketball skill, and can shoot from 19 feet out. Sound like a servicable NBA PF to you? Sure as hell does to me.

Seems like every good college player is evaluated by fans as a franchise player/all-star in the NBA. Nobody is saying Love will dominate in the NBA. But saying he won’t succeed in the NBA just cause he isn’t very fast or doesn’t dunk on guys is ridiculous.

And before someone names an unathletic, white, high draft pick NBA bust like Big Country Bryant Reeves, allow me to name some pretty athletic big guys who didn’t fare any better: Kwame Brown, Stromile Swift etc…

Obviously being athletic is better than not being athletic and it helps a ton, but predicting a player’s chance of success at the next level solely on that basis (especially when said player has proven more than capable as a basketball player) is silly. Something tells me Love will be a decent/good supporting NBA big man.

I don’t see NJ resting anyone against us, not even Brodeur. We are in a tough spot. I will probably repeat this tomorrow, but we are one point up on the Caps an 1 point below the Canes. if the Caps beat the Canes for the divison, the Canes will probably beat us for the last spot. I’m skurrrrred.

Bullshit. I remember all the haters in Oregon saying he wasn’t going to be able to be a primetime college player coming out of HS and a Pac10 POY and a 1st Team AA honors later he’s still making people sound stupid just because his game isn’t above the rim.
