Ryan Perrilloux: Countdown to Transfer
College Football April 3rd. 2008, 2:44pm
Advancing yesterday’s post about Ryan Perrilloux’s latest off-the-field ‘incident’, one more detail has emerged: the LSU junior QB called a restaurant employee, ‘Osama’ before getting thrown out. Perrilloux, a high school legend, was reportedly with three “employees” of Crazy Horse Cabaret. So clearly, he’s running with the right crowd. According to this review of the Crazy Horse, the women leave something to be desired. What will become of Perrilloux? Our stab at his 2008 arc:
April 5, Spring Football Game: Perrilloux doesn’t play. LSU fans panic.
May, 2008: Perrilloux amazingly aces all his Final exams, and Les Miles begins putting out the word to the media – discreetly, of course – that his star has “turned it around” and “seen the light.”
August, 2008: After a trouble-free offseason, Miles invites SI (maybe he’s still mad at ESPN?) to the Bayou to write an in-depth piece (read: glowing) on the maturation of his “grown-up” star.
August, 2008: A week after the piece on Perrilloux runs, he is arrested on charges of [enter incident here].
2 days later - Perrilloux is suspended for the first three games of the season, meaning he’ll miss App. State, Troy and North Texas.
September 2008: Perrilloux returns as the starter and the Tigers beat Auburn on the road.
October 2008: No. 1 Georgia rolls into Baton Rouge and beats the Tigers; in a wild night of anger all over campus, Perrilloux is arrested for [enter incident here].
1 day later: Finally, Les Miles grows a pair and throws his star off the team.
1 day later: Rich Rodriguez of Michigan and Mack Brown of Texas heavily begin to recruit Perrilloux.
